Objective:
The main objective of this workshop was to introduce entrepreneurship to
university students and the faculty members. And to guide the students to handle
stress and depression to uplift their personal and professional skills.

IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers):

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is a professional association
for electronic engineering and electrical engineering with its corporate office in
New York City and its operations center in Piscataway, New Jersey. IEEE's core
purpose is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of
humanity.

Introduction:
IEEE-RCET chapter was introduced to foster technological innovations in RCET
to uplift the standard of study for RCET students. This seminar was organized by
IEEE incorporation with WIE(chapter of IEEE) to introduce entrepreneurship to
the university students .Another main purpose of this seminar is to guide the
students to handle stress and depression.

1. Dr.Shahid Qureshi:

Field of Interest:

 Dr.Shahid’s research interests are in the following areas and theories: Resource
based view of the firm, capability development, competence based management
theory, entrepreneurship and strategy, technology entrepreneurship,
entrepreneurship and the marketing interface.
 He has been conducting quantitative research using various tools i.e. Multiple
Regression Analysis, Discriminant Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling
using AMOS, LISREAL, PLS etc.

Profile:
Graduated as a mechanical engineer from
the University of Engineering and
Technology Lahore in 1990. In 1993, was
awarded the Government of Holland
scholarship to pursue masters in Industrial
Engineering and Management at Asian
Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand.
Later on, obtained an MBA degree from the
Lahore University of Management Sciences
(LUMS). In 2006, received the German
(DAAD) scholarship to pursue PhD from the Department of Marketing at the
Faculty of Business Administration at the Technical University of Berlin,
Germany. The venture turned out to be a success and contributed in the
development and the uplift of the region.

Seminar discussion at RCET by Dr.Shahid Qureshi:

The IBA Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) in collaboration with
Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), RCET conducted a
workshop named as" How to develop an entrepreneurial mindset" at the RCET
auditorium. The main objective of this workshop was to introduce entrepreneurship
to university students and the faculty members. The Program Director CED, Dr.
Shahid Qureshi was the key note speaker.
During his session, Dr. Qureshi let the varsity's students understand the
development and opting of entrepreneurial mindset. Dr. Qureshi covered this with
the help of a live case study in which he shared the experiences and successes of
the various entrepreneurs which his centre has trained and produced. Dr. Qureshi
also motivated the students and directed them to find their passion. His more
emphasis was on the identification and exploitation of enormous potential of
RCET’s students. The audience majorly students of the varsity got overwhelmed
with the talk of Dr. Qureshi who was greatly applauded by the audience at the end.
The neighbour universities also expressed their interest in future collaboration for
the promotion of entrepreneurship.

2. Mr.Yasir Arafat:
Yasir Arafat is an Inspirational
Speaker, Life Coach(UK Certified) &
Trainer . He is an immersion of 16
years of experience in Management,
Parliamentary affairs and Academia.
This includes 6 years of experience in
Training & Development with leading
institutions both in Government and
Private sector.His services have been
highly acknowledged and appreciated by Police Department ,Federal Board
of Revenue( FBR) & District Administrations.His passion and expertise
have helped thousands of individuals (Students/Professionals) to find their
reason for existence, opt their right career and uplift their personal skills

Seminar discussion at RCET by Mr.Yasir Arafat:

Seminar was organized at RCET auditorium .Yasir Arafat being a life
coach provided counseling on Career, Study Management, Self-Management,
Stress, Anxiety, Depression and on other Psychological Issues. He guided students
to handle stress and depression .He also explained the key points to polish the
personality of a person.

Conclusion:
This seminar proved great to improve personal and professional skills of students.
It motivated students to learn to overcome their fears and extracted their attention
towards entrepreneurship.
