Buying Coconut

You are a purchasing manager for a pharmaceutical company that has just
discovered a cure for an ailment ravaging several communities in your country.
Thus far, more than 500,000 persons have died as a mysterious ailment. Upon
publicizing your research findings, your country’s Ministry of Health contacted
your company to produce the vaccines that will halt the ailment. In order to do
that, your company needs about 2000 tons of the coconut to extract the milk that
is sufficient to produce the quantity of vaccines needed. You have been told that
a certain Mr. Ganiyu, a coconut farmer, has about 210,000 tons of the coconut
but will only sell it to the highest bidder. Your company has authorized you to bid
up to N200 million. You are aware that another company was willing to pay as
much to purchase the coconuts. You are expected to meet with the purchasing
manager of the other company to negotiate and convince her on the need for
your company to purchase the coconuts.
