Scholarship Distribution Ceremony by Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Social Welfare, GoUP

eScholarship’ also known as SAKSHAM is an IT based
initiative to uphold the right-to-education of every student
by providing scholarship to those students who belong to
economically weaker section of the society and are
pursuing their studies in Pre-Matric/Post-Matric classes/
courses.
This system has simplified government processes &
procedures to facilitate direct transfer of scholarship
amount to the bank account of deserving students thereby
reducing the chances of fraudulent. It also minimizes audit
objections faced by the state government in scholarship
disbursement. This prestigious project of GoUP added a
new feather in its cap by scholarship distribution of more
than 4.14 Lacs of students worth Rs 159 crore on very
short span of time on 2nd October. The Hon’ble Chief
Minister has announced that 2nd October and 26th January
as ‘Scholarship Day’ from this academic year. NIC UP State
unit has developed a online utility to download the
“Certificate” by login of District Welfare Officers.
In this endeavor Social Welfare, Backward Class Welfare
& Minority Welfare department organized various camps
at each district to distribute the certificates by dignitaries.

grand ceremony. Hon’ble Minster praise NIC UP stat unit
for their contribution in computerization of Social Sector
Schemes.
