I am a senior Supply Chain Management major at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith
School of Business, expecting to graduate this coming May. As a music enthusiast and frequent
consumer of Vevo, I decided to turn to the internet to check out any opportunities that were
offered. Reading the position description of reporting analyst, I immediately realized that this
opportunity aligned well with my passion, skill set and past experiences.

Studying supply chain management in the business school, I have learned how to make
products available to customers in the least costly, most efficient and timely manner. Vevo
prides themselves on delivering huge amounts of quality content to its vast consumer base.
Supply chain management conglomerates a variety of components including sales, marketing,
and operations. With my knowledge gained through my coursework, I would be able to help
maximize content exposure to each target market via all of Vevo’s platforms.

One of the most important components to Vevo’s success is their ability to explore, analyze,
and value emerging trends in the music industry. Doing so, Vevo is able to provide their
consumers the most relevant content and gaining maximum exposure. During my past
experience at Actinium Capital, a capital investment firm, I specialized in trend analysis. My
research spanned across various industries as I compared corporate financial outlooks to
societal trends. Doing so, I gauged the probability of rises or declines of stock prices during
financial earnings season. Presenting this research to the firm’s managing partners, I prompted
them to make profiting investments based on these trends. These skills acquired would be
integral when analyzing trends in the music industry.
