SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE
+ S + To Be (is, am, are) +
Purpose :
To Express something that will be done or
begin in the future.
General Formula
A. Verba (Kata Kerja)
+ S + Will + V1
- S + Will + Not + V1
? Will + S + V1 + ?
B. Nomina (Kata Benda)
S + Will + Be + (A. N. A)
Note :
Will not = Won’t
If you want to make your formal sentence
you can change “Will” become “Shall”,
so the formula changes to
S + Shall + V1
Or the formula can change with the other
Modal Aux (May, must, could, might,
should, would ,etc)
EXAMPLE :
1. (+) Budi will buy a car
(-) Budi won’t buy a car
(?) Will Budi buy a car ?
2. (+) Budi will be happy tomorrow
(-) Budi Will not be happy
tomorrow
(?) Will budi be happy tomorrow ?
The other Formula
Going to + V1
- S + To Be (is, am, are) +
Not + Going to + V1
? To Be (is, am, are) + S + Going
to + V1 + ?
When we used this formula ?
 When we talk about what
will happen soon.
Example :
Look at those clouds ! It is
going to rain
 When talking about plans
that have been made
Example :
We are going to spend a month
in japan
In the other word, we can
use that formula if the event
are certain to occur in the
future
You can make the complete
sentence if you add adverb of
time as
Tomorrow… , next… , Soon,
Later, tonight, etc.
