Occupational Health Programs
I. Background/Description
The program addresses the incidence of occupational diseases and work-related diseases and injuries
among workers through health promotion and protection in all workplaces. It initially focuses on public
health workers and informal sector workers including, but not limited to those in agriculture, transport,
and small-scale mining. It aims to improve workers’ access to basic occupational health services at the
local level.

Establish dynamic partnership, shared advocacy, responsibility and accountability
IV. Objectives/Goals
By 2022, reduce the number of occupational diseases and injuries by 30% from the 2015
baseline as identified in the Occupational Health and Safety Profile of the Philippines.
