Introduction

This chapter will discuss the Background of the Study,

Statement of the Problem, Null Hypothesis, Significance
of the Study, Scope and Delimination of the Study, and
lastly the Definition of Terms. In this chapter we will prove
that the Vinegar and Cornstarch are effective to use as a
stain remover.

Background of the Study

Stains are the common problem of people living now a day
because of too much work. We can remove it using a
commercial stain remover. The researchers heard about the

anqeous solution of acetic acid. The acid of a vinegar
typically contains 5-20% by volume. Vinegar is mainly used
in the culinary or non-culinary arts. It is contain numerous
flavonoids, phenolic acids, and aldhehydes. The acid will be
the one to remove the one who going to remove the stain.

According to New World Encyclopedia, Cornstarch is starch

derived from the corn. It is versatile, easily modified, and
finds many uses in industry as adhesives, in paper products,
as an anti-sticking agent, and textile manufacturing. It will
help to absorb the stain so the stain will remove.
According to New World Encyclopedia , Lemon is a hybrid of
the plant genus Citrus. The lemon serves the plant’s individual
purpose of reproduction. It also serves a wider value for
human in terms of culinary and non-culinary uses.

The study was chosen because in school, the researchers

have observed that most of the student are using a ballpen
that can cause a stain in their uniform.

The objective of this study is to help everyone to remove the

stain in our clothes and also to prove that Vinegar,
Cornstarch, and Lemon Zest are effective to remove stain.

Statement of The Problem

The Main Goal of this study is to prove the effectiveness of
Vinegar, Cornstarch, Lemon Zest as a stain remover. This
study aims to answer the following question.

1. Is the Vinegar, Cornstarch, and Lemon Zest as

ink stain remover is effective in terms of
removing the stain, and cost acceptability?
2. Is there significant difference between the
commercial stain remover and Vinegar,
Cornstarch, and Lemon Zest as stain remover
for ink?

Formulation of Hypothesis
There is no significant in using Cornstarch, Vinegar, Lemon
Zest as ink stain remover in washing our clothes.
Significance of the Study
The result of the study would be beneficial to the following:

encourage the students to conduct an experiment too.
Students. Due to the result of the experiment it helps them
to realize that Cornstarch, Vinegar, Lemon Zest is a good
combination to make a stain remover.

Parents. Due to the result of the study it helps them to do

experiments in their own houses. It helps to conserve more
money in their family because rather than buying commercial

Scope and Delimination of the

Study
The objective in general to this study is to prove the
effectiveness of the Cornstarch and Vinegar in making the
product as a stain remover.
The product that the researchers will be making is good for
all clothes. The researchers wanted to make Cornstarch,
Vinegar, and Lemon Zest have an aroma in a creative way.

needed for the packaging and the ingredients of the product.

After the product is made, the researchers will conduct the

test at the Pleasant Mount School if it is acceptable that the
Cornstarch, Vinegar, and Lemon Zest is effective as a stain
remover made by the use of the product.

There is a total of 30 respondents in the assessment of the
