This is a classic observation test. The rules are
simple. Read through the paragraph off to the left
only once – counting the number of F’s in the
paragraph.

Most will find three F’s. Some might even find six.

If we take a moment to analyze why this works, you’ll be able to create a marketing
paragraph that will have people showing it to their friends.

1) The first two words in the paragraph lead us to look for soft sounding F’s. The F’s
that most people miss are the hard sounding F’s that sound like V’s as in the word
“of.”

2) The improperly hyphenated word “scientific” gives further emphasis to the soft
sounding F’s.

3) Notice that the combination of words “of years” is repeated twice in the
paragraph. Since we missed the letter “F” the first time, we are even more likely to
miss it the second time.

Now you can use what you’ve learned to construct a paragraph that could be used to
market your magic show.

Maybe something like this?

FUN FRIENDLY MAGIC IS THE RE-
SULT OF YEARS OF SPECIF-
IC PRACTICE COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF PERFORMING.
