sense of security that you'll never get into trouble if you avoid trouble
spots.
Once you understand the truth, it all changes. Knowing how an attacker's
mind works doesn't make you just like them. It gives you an advantage
OVER them.
Now you know why it’s important to learn from someone who really knows
the lay of the land.

off your attacker's body for a few seconds.
It's a very serious technique. In some law enforcement circles this move is
classified as a deadly force technique.

Step 1: Swing
your forearm

more force by
pausing at the
end of the
strike to let it
sink in.
It comes from his time training the cabin crew of United Airlines after
9/11 to show them how to tackle terrorists in light of the heightened
threat.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Violence in any form is unacceptable…
but hiding your head in the sand and pretending it doesn’t happen or won’t
happen to you is dangerous.
And that’s exactly what happened with this story of a lady named Lola.
During one of my counter terrorist training workshops for United Airlines, I rst
met Lola. In fact, I remembered so vividly the moment I saw her tiny,
unassuming frame shu e through the door into the training room.
