No to Premarital Sex

Sex is not a bad thing because it is God’s idea but the world creates the

misconception, they define it as lust and perversion. Everything moves so fast

now and the changes in this world are sometimes too hard to believe nor accept.

The forbidden things are now being done not just by millennial but by all ages like

premarital sex. Premarital sex is engaging in sexual activity without the authority

of Holy Matrimony. Yes, doing this thing is a sin because sex is a privilege that

God granted to married people only. This is not a game that you can play anytime

and anywhere you want and when you are done, you will just leave like nothing

really happens. It is a wondrous privilege that comes with great responsibility so

stop doing this if you are not wholeheartedly committed to someone. “But

because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own

wife and each woman her own husband.” 1 Corinthians 7:2. Wait until marriage

before doing sex because when you do this outside of marriage, you run a very

high risk of messing things up. Say no to premarital sex, no to sexual immorality.

One in ten young Filipino women age 15 to 19 has begun childbearing. Eight

percent are already mothers and another 2 percent are pregnant with their first

child, according to the results of the 2013 National Demographic and Health

Survey(NDHS). This is one of the life changing effects of premarital sex -early

pregnancy. In these age, men and women is in the stage of studying and when it

happens their daily life will change because there is a baby that needs their full

attention. It is hard to focus in two different things at the same time and there will
always be one needed to choose. It is a very serious decision because love is a

decision not just feelings nor lust, therefore sex is a decision not an accident.

Some men leave their partners due to the unplanned pregnancy which leads

to woman’s depression to the point of having abortion, another effect of

premarital sex which is also a sin. The howtouseabortionphil.org emphasized that

in one 2012 estimate, roughly 610,00 abortions are thought to have taken place

that year in the Philippines and 1,000 Filipino women die each year from unsafe

abortions. From premarital sex to killing a newly formed human and putting your

life to risk, disgrace. “Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor

children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.”

Deuteronomy 24:16.

Wait until marriage for those who do struggle with burning passion. Wait

patiently because right time will come for you to enjoy the gift of sex with the right

person, with the perfect time and without putting your body to sexual immorality.

Do not rush things, do not take the world’s way for God has a higher ways, and it

is better to remain single than being in a relationship that you know is wrong. It is

said there in 1 Corinthians 7:8-9 “To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is

good for them to remain single, as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control,

they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.” and lastly,

God has a plan for all of us, plan of one; “One God, with one man and one

woman, one marriage, one sex partner, one flesh, one lifetime and one picture.”
