ARE YOU ENABLING A TOXIC CULTURE WITHOUT REALIZING

IT?

SUMMARY

This case is about that how we should be responsible in a team and how to work accordingly.
The way the role is played in a team work is very important as it results can be successful or
can be fatal. There are two types of members in a team passive and active enablers. The
passive enablers only focus on the accomplishments of the team and does not consider the
loyalty and the truthfulness of the team members. Whereas, active enablers are
knowledgeable of what is happening but do not take any action. They are vital in the fight
against toxic behavior because they are stereotypically in the problem ditches and can best
describe the situation and document it. But they may vacillate to talk about what they are
experiencing because they think they dearth the status to bring forward a complaint or fear
repercussions. They assume that someone else is going to take a stand, justify the situation
may not be immoral, or delay action to wait for more indication to confirm their doubt.
Now, what should passive enablers do to improve themselves and how they should be
responsible and take actions accordingly, this can be done by examining how results are
achieved and take urgent action when problems arise. And for this it should noticeable to the
other team members which can be done by walking around randomly, speaking gestures
which would give sensitive touchpoints to the team to voice issues without private meetings
being formally set up. Whereas, active enablers should acknowledge that choosing not to talk
is actually a decision to promote behavior. They must acknowledge that they have a duty to
encourage healthy and respectful workplaces, and they can begin by finding someone they
trust who can provide guidance on how to handle the situation or have the power to act.
Then it is important to stand-in cultural health by listening to the actively and responding to
them properly which could be helpful for companies to share ideas or problems or solution
which can safeguard them from upcoming failures.
So, it is important for employees working in teams to raise issues and should be concerned
about then to avoid toxic culture in the organization and within the employees and it is
essential that everyone in an organization is empowered to hold organizations responsible.
