Railway CPEC Project

Qualification & Training and Age.
 B.Sc.Civil Engineering recognized University with 20 Years’ experience or M.Sc. in Civil
Engineering with 15 years’ relevant railway experience.
OR
 M.Sc. in Railway Transport Engineering or Masters in Transportation or Transport Planning,
or MBA with Project Planning as major with overall experience of 20 years with at least five
years railway experience.

 M.Sc. in Computer Sciences will be an additional asset.

 
 Maximum age 62 years.
 
Fully trained in and having experience and knowledge of following will be an
asset;
 
 Civil and Building Infrastructure – embankments, cuttings, drainage, tunnels, under-bridges, over-bridges,
bridges/culverts, station buildings, road access, building services, depot buildings, control rooms, loco sheds,
washing lines etc.
 Fixed systems – track, power supply, current collection, railway signaling systems (including Computer Based
Interlocking Signaling System), telecommunications, passenger information systems, platform construction,
depot and maintenance equipment, loading facilities, level crossings & stores.
 Rolling stock – extensive range of knowledge of the specifications to suit mass transit, rail-networking, suited to
passenger and freight/industrial transportation synchronized with the design and specification of the rail track and
rail structures.

Qualified or trained in Public Procurement Management.Well conversant with Computer Aided Analysis & Design of
Structures and Railway structures. Fully conversant with Railway Standard Specifications, Railway Safety Rules and
Operating Rules. Familiar with Railway’s fixed and moving dimension standards. Conversant with Railway Signals,
Telecommunication and Operating Rules & Regulations. Conversant with Railway Act 1890 and its provisions.
Conversant with Railway Property & Land Regulations & Policy. Fully conversant/trained in Railway track structure,
certified in rail track inspections, knowledge of track laying and maintenance procedures, mechanized track
maintenance, track conversions, new railway line construction and Railway Track specifications. Associated with
large scale railway organization for more than 5years in senior management position. Expert in Project Planning,
implementation, execution and completion of Railway projects with full knowledge of System interfacing and Safety.
Carrying out and analyzing Feasibility Studies. Handled at least two major railway related projects worth Rs. 5.0
billion and above. `

The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of one year, which would be considered for extension
