3. CMe2+ Series II Web Camera

Experience the new premium technology web camera series by Crypto. CMe2+
Series II records videos and takes photos with rich and vibrant colors at 2.0M pixel
resolution. Easy focus, low-light performance and 30 frames per second video
capture allow you to enjoy natural looking videos and photos. Moreover CMe2+
Series II provides vivid and sharp images in your video chats with friends and
family and works with the most popular instant messaging applications such as
MSN messenger™, Skype™ or other messengers as well.

CMe2+ Series II is equipped with an ergonomic and flexible clip providing dual
functionality. Use this clip and place your web camera on your desktop PC or take
it with your notebook anywhere you go. The package also includes a free headset.
Comfortable and easy to wear this headset gives you clearer voice quality
compared to web cameras with built-in microphones.

3.1 Driver Installation of the Web Camera (XP/Vista)

IMPORTANT: Don’t Plug in the Web Camera to your PC

The following driver / software must be installed first before plugging in
the camera.

Insert the CD into the CD-ROM open ‘My computer’ & double click on the CD-ROM
icon. Execute the ‘CMe2+ Series II Web Camera.exe’ file by double clicking on it’s
icon.
Follow the installation procedure by
clicking on “Next”

The Installation procedure may

require a few minutes, depending on
you hardware specifications

Click “Continue Anyway’’

Note: This window appears only on

Windows XP

Choose your preference and Click

“Finish”

At this point connect CMe2+ Series

II Web Camera to the computer’s
USB port.

A new window will pop up, Choose

“No, not at this time” and click “Next”

Select “Install software

automatically (Recommended)” and
click Next.

Click “Continue Anyway’’

Note: This window appears only on

Windows XP

The Installation procedure may

Click “Finish” to complete the

installation.

Installation is complete and you can

use CMe2+ Series II Web camera.
Go to start menu Æ Programs Æ

3.2. LiveCam Software

Crypto’s CMe2+ Series II Web Camera is accompanied by a CD that includes the

LiveCam software together with the camera’s driver, in one setup file. After
following the above driver installation procedure, the LiveCam software has
automatically been installed also.
A new window will appear

If no image appears, select CMe2+

Series II Web Camera from the
“Devices” selection.

To capture a video, you must first

create or select the folder where the
video will be saved to. To do this,
under “File”, select “Set Capture File”
and appoint the destination folder.

To start capturing (recording) your

Video, under “Capture”, select “Start
Capture”.

To stop capturing (recording), under

“Capture”, select “Stop Capture”.

To make adjustments regarding the

Video image go to “Options” and
“Video Capture Pin”.

From the “Output Size” selection you

can appoint the Video resolution by
160x120, 176x144, 320x240,
352x288, 640x480,800X600,
1024X768, 1280X1024 and
1600X1200.

Properties : Settings

To make adjustments regarding the

Video image go to “Options” and
“Video Capture Filter”.

You can adjust Brightness, Contrast

and many other changes according
your preference.

You can also Save or restore to

defaults your previous settings

A system tray icon automatically appears after the driver installation procedure has
finished.
Check your system tray icon

Right Click on the CMe2+ Series II Web

Camera System tray icon and a menu will
appear

This menu Helps you to take snapshots at you

desired resolution

6. Appendix A : Using your CMe2+ Series II with Instant messaging

software

6.1 MSN Messenger

After Installing CMe2+ Series II,

open your MSN messenger in
order to begin a conversation. A
new icon will be present there.

Right click on this icon and select

according to your preference

After the connection has been

established a review and change
your web camera settings by
right clicking on the arrow.

Note: In order for a video

conversation to start, your
contact must “accept the
invitation to start viewing
Webcam”

6.2 Skype

After CMe2+ Series II Installation has finished

and you restart your computer a new window will
appear.

You can test your Web camera and you can

review and change Skype video options through
this window.

Open your Skype and call friends or your family.

Video chat will start automatically.
