After you have watched both clips and answered the questions above, answer the following question

Pacino give speeches, what techniques does he like using to keep his audience’s attention? In
your opinion, are they effective? Explain your reasoning.
12. Compare the two speeches in terms of content. How focused were they? Did they stay on-
message, or did they wander around? Did their focus (or lack of it) affect your ability to pay
attention? Explain your reasoning.

13. Compare the two speeches in terms of structure. Did both speeches use the AIDA format? Break
each speech down into its AIDA components and explain what they were, or which ones were
missing.
