Mahilig kasing
magluto at kumain ang mga Pilipino. Kada lugar ay may kanya-kanyang tanyag na pagkain na
doon lamang matitikman o niluluto. May kapareho man pero ang mga paraan ng paghahanda at
pagluluto nito ay magkaiba.

Sa Visayas, lechon ng Cebu, la paz batchoy ng Iloilo at tamalos ng Samar ang mga ilan sa
kilalang pagkain sa rehiyong ito.

1. Sergio Osmeña, Sr - He is the 4th President of the Republic of the Philippines who served
from 1944 to 1946.
2. Lucio Tan - a well-known businessman who owns Philippine Airlines and Philippine National
Bank
3. John Gokongwei - also a well-known businessman who owns JG Summit Holdings, Universal
Robina, Robinsons, Cebu Pacific Airlines, among many others.
4. Kenneth Cobonpue - an international furniture designer who received international
recognition awards and featured in Hollywood films, as well as TIME magazine.
5. Pilita Corrales - is a renowned singer in the Philippines who holds the title "Asia's Queen of
Songs".
