Greetings!

In line to the Science Month Celebration 2019, FGNMHS - Senior High School will be having a JUNK ART
ROBOT CONTEST on September 16, 2019 at FGNMHS Covered Court.

The Contest aims to promote Science and Technology consciousness, and a culture of innovation to the
youth.

JUNK ART ROBOT CONTEST

General Description

The contest will consist of the design and creation of a work of art made from recycled parts following
the theme, REINVENTING THE FUTURE: Advancing Communities through Science, Technology and
Innovations.

Contest Rules

1. At least 90% of all parts must be recycled from some previous use. Glue, paint, screws, and
other fastening devices are not included in the 10% that do not have to be recycled.
2. The minimum height for the robot must be 2 feet.
3. Durability is important. Arts will be displayed outdoors.
4. An artist’s statement must be included with the work of art explaining what the artist is
conveying in this work of art or what the value, use, or impact of the object is.
5. .Judging Criteria: Each entry will be judged on the following criteria, with a maximum of 10
points in each category:

Visual Impact
Interpretation and Creativity
Composition/Design
Craftsmanship
