Bethlehem will take place
April 28, 2018, at the
Cathedral Church of the
Nativity. The new bishop will
be ordained and consecrated
on September 15, 2018, at the First Presbyterian
Church, Allentown.
The 147th Convention of the Diocese of
Bethlehem, which will include the seating of the
new bishop, will take place October 12 and 13,
2018, at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Allentown
Bethlehem Center Valley. Eucharist and the seating
will be held at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity.
Christine McGeachie is our delegate to both
conventions. Jane Evans is our alternate.

St. James St. George
Parish presently has 37
pledging units totaling
$28,968,00 pledged for
2018. This amount is Christ at the Door The Good Shepherd
approximately two thirds
what is needed to meet
normal operating
expenses. The difference must be made up by loose
plate offerings, special offerings, raffles, dinners
and other fund raisers. Every little bit helps. Please
be generous in your giving.

Our Annual Parish Meeting was held on Sunday, January 21, 2018,
immediately following the 10:00 Eucharist. The meeting was presided over
by Ron Fowler, Senior Warden. Various committee reports were given. Ray
Poggensee was elected to a three-year term on the Vestry. Christine
McGeachie was elected as delegates to convention. Jane Evans was elected
alternate delegate.
