Once the required numbers of stirrups are put in place, it will be tied up with the main bar with correct spacing based on the ‘approved cutting lst. Rebars are to he spliced only atthe splicing zone required by the structural designer, For top har, splicing should be within the center but will not 20 beyond L/4 of clear span from the face of column. And for the bottom bars, the splice length center should be 0.221 from the face ofthe column. Extra top bars should 0 until 1/4 from face of column and whichever length is larger from the adjacent span will govern, Extra bottom bars are placed 0.1651 of clear span from each column face.
