1 ¼ spatula of Mg metal is
entered into test tube and then
poured with aquadest 5 mL

2 Heated into burner with small

fire
3 Tested with pp indicator, then
the solution become pink

Experiment 3
1 Glass cotton is placed in test
tube then added by water drops
by drops until it little wet

2 Added with dry glass cotton

3 Added with Zn powder then

added with dry cotton

4 Covered with rubber then

heated in the part that contain
of Zn
5 Tested with flame then the
flame become bigger

Experiment 4
1 Added Zn owder into side of
test tube

2 Added 5 mL HCl 4M then

covered with rubber that has
already connected with pipe
and graduated cylinder that
place upside down in water

3 Zn powder react with HCl

solution produces H2 gas

4 Then it tested with flame, the

flame become bigger
It also tested with coal flame
and the coal flame is off
Experiment 5
1 KI solution

2 KI solution is poured into test

tube then added with starch
solution

3 Then added with H2O2 3%

Then the solution become
purple

OXYGEN GAS
Experiment 1
1 Entered KClO3 into test tube
until 0.5 cm from base of tube
2 Added with kawi stone (MnO2)

3 Heated in small flame

4 Collected the oxygen gas and

calculate the volume

5 Then it tested with flame, the

flame become bigger
It also tested with coal flame
and the coal flame is on

Experiment 2
1 Balancing 0,5 gram KMnO4

2 Entered into test tube that has

already connected into pipe
then added drop by drop H2O2
4.5%

3 After addition of H2O2 , the

solution become purple then let
it about 10 minutes

4 Collected the gas and calculate

the volume

5 Tested with flame, the flame is

bigger
Tested with coal flame and the
flame is on
6 There is brown spot
