Objectives: The students will:

 View videos about digital media sharing and social media applications
 Use NearPod slides to fill in a privacy comic strip with their own ending to the story
 Answer quiz questions in NearPod slideshow
 Present Privacy Comic to class to display knowledge of content and consequences of
oversharing

Anticipatory Set:

 Students will have background knowledge of privacy rules and general understanding of
sharing personal information with other people. Students will be able to access a shared
NearPod lesson, and successfully go through the slides.

Procedure:

 Teacher will discuss forms of media and social media sharing with students at board.
Students will brainstorm ways to share videos with others (friends / everyone). Once you
post something, where does it go? Can you delete it? Can you get it back?
 Model accessing NearPod slideshow at board, showing the materials they will be
working on during their individual computer time.
 Students will work independently to complete all tasks in their NearPod slideshow.

Assessment:

 Listen to student responses and gauge understanding during discussions at board.


 Monitor student progress at individual stations during independent work time.
 Check answers to quiz questions at the end of NearPod assignment.
