RE: Part Time Hourly ABA Paraprofessional

To Whom It May Concern:

I recently read with interest your posting on the Special School District website for the position
of the ABA Paraprofessional. I believe I possess the necessary skills and experience you are
seeking and that I would make a valuable addition to the team.

I have worked in a school setting before working with students and inclusion and also students in
a self-contained classroom. I have primarily worked with students who have ADHD and also
severe Autism. Working with students and watching them grow was truly rewarding and
something that I have become very passionate about. For over ten years I have worked in an
educational or medical setting working closely with children and their families. I love working as
a team with not only the child but also their family and the staff to make sure the child’s best
interest is taken care of and put first.

Recently, I completed my Associate of Arts in Teaching degree at St. Louis Community College
and I am still current on my Missouri substitute teaching certificate. I have been trained in NCI
and MANDT and have experience in safely and effectively using both. I also feel as though my
past medical background is beneficial in assisting students with any hygienic or feeding needs
that they might have. I know that having flexibility and patience is an asset when working not
only with people, but especially children and I would consider those traits to be my strongest
ones.

I look forward to scheduling an interview with you at your convenience. Thank you for your
time.

Sincerely,

Meagan A. Walter
