ABSTRACT
Background: The development at toddler age is a change from the phase of believing in disbelief
to become a phase of autonomy indicated by an increasingly widespread independence attitude in
children. The most common impact in toilet training failures is the existence of strict treatment or
rules from parents to their children which can interfere with children's personality which tends to
be retentive in that children tend to be stubborn. The active role of parents in toddler-age children
about toilet training is the parents of parents must begin to exercise their children's ability to
urinate and defecate into the toilet.
Objective: To find out the relationship between knowledge of mothers in the implementation of
toilet training in toddler-age children in Candiwulan Village, Adimulyo District.
Method: This study used the korelaisonal method with a cross-sectional approach. Samples
totaling 73 mothers were taken using total-sampling techniques. Data was analyzed using
descriptive analysis, korelation using Kendal Tau.
Results: This study found that the majority of respondents with knowledge of toilet training were
in a good category (84.9%). Most of the respondents with the implementation of toilet training
were conducted at a good level, namely (69.9%).
Conclusion: There is a relationship between mother's knowledge and the implementation of toilet
training in toddler-age children in Candiwulan Village, Adimulyo Subdistrict p = 0.013 (<0.05)
Recommendation: Future researchers are expected to research expected to be able to examine
other variables related to toilet training
