Cybernetics is a transdisciplinary[1] approach for exploring regulatory systems—their structures,

constraints, and possibilities. Norbert Wiener defined cybernetics in 1948 as "the scientific study of
control and communication in the animal and the machine."[2] In other words, it is the scientific study of
how humans, animals and machines control and communicate with each other.

Cybernetics is applicable when a system being analyzed incorporates a closed signaling loop—originally
referred to as a "circular causal" relationship—that is, where action by the system generates some
change in its environment and that change is reflected in the system in some manner (feedback) that
triggers a system change. Cybernetics is relevant to, for example, mechanical, physical, biological,
cognitive, and social systems.

Social psychology is the scientific study of how people's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced
by the actual, imagined or implied presence of others.[1] In this definition, scientific refers to the
empirical investigation using the scientific method. The terms thoughts, feelings, and behaviors refer to
psychological variables that can be measured in humans. The statement that others' presence may be
imagined or implied suggests that humans are malleable to social influences even when alone, such as
when watching videos, sitting on the toilet, or quietly appreciating art. In such situations, people can be
influenced to follow internalized cultural norms. Social psychologists typically explain human behavior as
a result of the interaction of mental states and social situations.

Social psychologists examine factors that cause behaviors to unfold in a given way in the presence of
others. They study conditions under which certain behavior, actions, and feelings occur. Social
psychology is concerned with the way these feelings, thoughts, beliefs, intentions, and goals are
cognitively constructed and how these mental representations, in turn, influence our interactions with
others.

sychology is the science of behavior and mind. Psychology includes the study of conscious and
unconscious phenomena, as well as feeling and thought.

Sociology is the study of society, patterns of social relationships, social interaction and culture of
everyday life.[1][2][3][4] It is a social science that uses various methods of empirical investigation[5] and
critical analysis[6] to develop a body of knowledge about social order, acceptance, and change or social
evolution.

A computer is a machine that can be instructed to carry out sequences of arithmetic or logical
operations automatically via computer programming. Modern computers have the ability to follow
generalized sets of operations, called programs.
Telecommunication is the transmission of signs, signals, messages, words, writings, images and sounds
or information of any nature by wire, radio, optical or other electromagnetic systems.[1][2]
Telecommunication occurs when the exchange of information between communication participants
includes the use of technology. It is transmitted through a transmission media, such as over physical
media, for example, over electrical cable, or via electromagnetic radiation through space such as radio
or light.[3][4][5][6][7][8] Such transmission paths are often divided into communication channels which
afford the advantages of multiplexing. Since the Latin term communicatio is considered the social
process of information exchange, the term telecommunications is often used in its plural form because
it involves many different technologies.[9]

Computer-supported telecommunications applications (CSTA) is an abstraction layer for

telecommunications applications. It is independent of underlying protocols. It has a telephone device
model that enables CTI applications to work with a wide range of telephone devices. Originally
developed in 1992, it has continued to be developed and refined over the years. It is often the model
that most CTI applications are built on and claim compliance with. It became an OSI standard in July
2000. It is currently being maintained by ECMA International.

The core of CSTA is a normalized Call Control model. Additional to the core there are Call Associated
features and Physical Device features amongst others. An implementation of the standard need not
provide all features, and so Profiles are provided. For example, the Basic Telephony profile provides such
features as Make Call, Answer and Clear Connection.

Video conferencing is a tool used for business and pleasure. Many companies offer free video
conferencing software available to download online. A video conference allows two or more individuals
to see each other and speak as though they were talking in person. It is used to complete business deals
and by families and friends in different places.

As the present industrial society, in which we live, is expected to evolve into a post-industrial society,
science and technology are apt to face new demands. Consequently, information technology, which we
define as a combination of computer and telecommunication technologies, will occupy a more
important position than ever in fulfilling social needs. Under these prospective conditions, the most
prominent and important topics for future research are data bases, networks and artificial intelligence.
Of these, the network, which encompasses processing and storage, as well as transmission of data, is
the most sophisticated. In order to make the network the true basis of social activities, it is first
necessary to examine and to understand its intrinsic characteristics. This will be done by comparing it
with the telephone network.
