Why i choose this article?

The reason i choose this article is because it grabbed my attention form the
start. Im very sad and hurt at the same time when i saw this issue in everywhere.
I want to remind you that we should concerned about this issue, because
we’re not talking about something happening in 10 years. We’re talking about
something happening right now and unless we act, the danger will only grow.

About what?

This article telling us about like the title is How the plastic is damaging
planet earth. That theres is so much plastic in the sea “with more than eight
million tonnes going into the oceans every year, it is estimated there will be
more plastic than fish by 2050 and 99 per cent of all the seabirds on the planet
will have consumed some.” And it was dangerous because its harms more
than 600 species in out there especially turtles, fish, seabirds, marine mammals,
plankton, and many else. The other problem is Plastic may also
be contaminating the air we breathe, and we consume so much of it
ourselves, and yup we are already eating some of the plastic we have thrown
into the sea. Thirty countries have now joined the UN’s CleanSeas campaign,
including the UK, Canada, France, Indonesia, Sierra Leone, Brazil, Norway, Italy,
Costa Rica, Kenya and Peru. The US, China, Russia and Japan have not. Also
this article said that “In a few decades, a blink of an eye in Earth's 4.5-billion-
year history, plastic has not only changed the fabric of life but the very rocks.”

What is your opinion?

In my opinion, this issue is very controversional because the worldwide talking

about this problem and some of the country make a move to save the ocean,
save our world, but the others just ignore the reality. We as a college student
should support the #saveourocean, because we already know what is going
happens and know the affects, like the article said there will be more plastic
than fish in the sea, if we still use plastic, so what we can do now is not to use
plastic, skip straws, pass up plastic bottles, avoid plastic packagging, recycle
what you can, and last dont litter. We need clean and healthy oceans to
support our own health and survival, even if we don’t live anywhere near them.
Each and every one of us can make a difference, it’s time to take action! Think
about which threats to the oceans concern you the most or think about which
ocean plants, animal species, habitats or ecosystems you want to conserve,
protect and restore locally and globally.
