STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF CONCRETE DSN
MIDTERM OUTPUT
PREPARED BY:
ABOY, PATRIK S.
CABIYA-AN, MICHAEL VINCENT R.
CEE52 (T03)
SUBJECT INSTRUCTOR:
Commercial Building
STRUCTURAL MEMBERS
The structural codes used in the proposed three-storey residential conform to the
National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) 2010 Volume 1 (Buildings and other Vertical
Structures) and to the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Code for Buildings. Minimum design
DEAD LOAD
Loads used for the design were based on National Structural code of the Philippines (NSCP)
3. Interior Walls = 0.93 kPs (50x100mm @ 400mm, 15mm gypsum insulated .10mm siding)
LIVE LOAD
1.2DL + 1.6LL
SOFTWARE USED
aid the concrete design and analysis of the structural members of building. In the fulfillment of
the structural design and analysis, the following programs were used:
AutoCad
- This software will aid in detailed sketching and modelling the plans that will be used
StaadPro
- It is an advanced structural design program that will serve as basis in the design of
structural members. This may also foresee the stability of structure based on the loads
Microsoft Excel
- A spreadsheet program used to tabulate the computations and data pertaining to the
structural analysis.
