WHEEL HUB DESIGN

 Design Goal
Reduce the load and overcome problems with damage to the FG 18 wheel hub

 Design Calculation
The biggest force acting on the wheel hub is the braking force so we use braking force as an analysis

With a tire circumference of 440 mm and it is assumed that the average coefficient of friction with the road
is μ = 1.5
F = 2,152.96 x 1.5 = 3,229.44 N

From the comparison of these designs, the FG 19 wheel hub is lighter and has less stress so it can overcome the
damage that occurs in the FG 18 wheel hub
