ESIGHT GLASSES :-

These are electronic glasses that let the legally blind to actually see and
is worn like normal pair of glasses , it restores sight for visually
impaired.This sounds so interesting right ! that has made it the “TIME
MAGAZINE’S BEST ‘TECH’ of 2017”.
A brief look on how does it work:
It uses a sophisticated high speed camera , a patented video processing
software , a computer processor and HD video OLED screens to project
real-time image where a special software cleans up image.
The latest version of ESIGHT called ESIGHT3 is released in May
2017.the video is processed algorithmically to enhance visual contrast
and quality.

 ESIGHT is a true definition of “AUGMENTED REALITY”.

 At first they look like AR or VR sets , but most VR systems tend to
make digital world realistic ,this just does the opposite.
 It uses AR headsets and digital technology to project the real-time
processed image processed image.

ADVANTAGES :
  It can autofocus on short , medium & long range objects.
 It’s able to zoom upto 24 times , has image contrast enhancement
,reverse color display.
 Totally portable, one can do regular and computer works wearing
them.
 Hands free tool and software behind it can be easily updated
 The controller even allows user to freeze a frame for reading or to
save a picture onto an inbuilt disk.

DISADVANTAGES :
 Very expensive to use.
 Available only in single size.
 Battery backup.
 It actually cannot fully restore eyesight.

AN OVER VIEW : It is interactive experience of real world

environment where objects which reside in real world are
‘augmented’ by computer generated image on user’s view.
Simply it is an integration of digital information with user’s real time
environment.
It’s a god gift to the visually impaired people since it restores them their
sight, as there exists a saying that “sarvendriyanam nayanam
pradhanam”.
