RBI Grade B 2019 : Noti cation, Exam Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is soon expected to release the RBI Grade B 2019
Notification on their official website. Once the notification is released, candidates are
allowed to apply online, the online application link for RBI Grade B Recruitment is
generally activated on the same day of the release of the notification. When the
notification is released, we will update you with the direct link to apply online. Selection
for RBI Grade B Officers will be done through a country-wide competitive examination in
two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by an Interview.

RBI Grade-B Noti cation 2019


RBI Officers (Grade-B) Notification 2019 is expected to be released in the month of
August this year. The online application for the same will begin after the release of official
notification of RBI Grade B 2019. However, you can click on the official notification of the
year 2018 to have an idea about last year vacancy, exam pattern and syllabus.

RBI Grade-B Exam Dates 2019


In the year 2018, the Preliminary and Mains examinations were conducted in the month
of August and September respectively. The objective type examinations are then followed
by a Personal Interview round which is held in the month of October. To get an idea of
the complete schedule followed by RBI every year, you can check the details of RBI

Examination centers for RBI Officers (Grade-B) examinations are there in almost 35
States and Union Territories.

RBI O cers (Grade-B) Eligibility Criteria


Eligibility criteria include Age limit and Educational Qualification. For RBI Officers (Grade-
B) 2018 examination, the lower and upper age limits were 21 years and 30 years
respectively.

Educational Qualification: A minimum of aggregate 60% marks (50% in case of


SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma
or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations.

You’ll have to wait until the notification is released on the official RBI website for this
year’s eligibility criteria.

This was the application fees for the previous RBI Officers (Grade-B) examination:

SC/ST/PWD Intimation Charges only Rs.100/-

GEN/OBC App. Fee including intimation charges Rs.850/-

RBI O cers (Grade-B) 2019 Exam Pattern


Preliminary Examination (200 Marks): The Paper consists tests of (i) General
Awareness (ii) English Language (iii) Quantitative Aptitude and (iv) Reasoning, which are
to be attempted in a composite time of 120 minutes.

Interview (50 marks): Candidates are shortlisted for the personal interview round
based on an aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III).
Candidates are given the option to opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final
Selection is done through merit list which is prepared by adding marks secured by
candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.

The penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main
examination)

There is a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Online Objective Tests. For each
wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question is deducted as
penalty to arrive at corrected score. No marks are deducted for un-attempted
questions.
