CAPEXIL – India’s Premier International Trade Facilitation & Export Promotion Council
was set up in 1958 by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to facilitate the export
of chemical based and allied products. This mega organization has more than 4000 member
exporters across India who are exporters of 16 broad product genres and represent the best in their
fields. Their quality products enjoy the preference of all major markets across the globe. Capexil is
having around 10% share in India’s Total Export which shows the significance of this
organization & their member exporters.

The Council right from the beginning has been playing the role of a facilitator towards the promotion of
export of products viz. chemical based & allied products as entrusted to it by the Government. The
CAPEXIL has its Head Office at Kolkata and Regional Offices at Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata.
It is one of the few Export Promotion Councils of India with an ISO 9001:2000 Certification.

VISION :
The vision of CAPEXIL is to catalyze development and promote India’s export of a wide spectrum of
chemical based and allied products and thereby stimulate the country’s economic growth and help in
employment generation.

CAPEXIL’S mission is to –

SERVICES OFFERED BY CAPEXIL

The primary focus of the Council is to promote Indian exports & facilitate trade with overseas
importers. Trade Promotion is one of the major activities of the Council to boost Indian exports in
overseas market. CAPEXIL executes this role in a number of ways and the basket of services to overseas
importers includes the following:

 Capexil has a membership base of over 4000 registered members across the given range of
products categories. So it can refer a list of reliable exporters to the overseas importers as per
their particular needs.
 Providing up-to-date information on supply sourcing and statistics on Indian Export Market.
 Bringing out Publications like trade directory of established Indian Exporters, brochures on
individual products etc. for ready reference of overseas importers. Thus, helping importers to
locate reliable suppliers of “Made in India” products.
 Dissemination of trade enquiries and tenders raised abroad.
 Providing publicity and marketing support including arranging participation in fairs /
exhibition held abroad. CAPEXIL has also successfully arranged several buyer seller meets in
different countries abroad. Information on selected markets and assistance in identifying
potential markets.
 Organizing and participating in National / International workshop, seminars, buyer seller
meets.
 Create export awareness among the Trade and Industry;
 Monitor exports and provide feed back to the Government on export problems and policy
dispensation needed to boost exports;
 Undertake promotional activities like Buyer-Seller Meets, sending sales tours/delegation,
undertake overseas publicity programme, organize and participate in overseas fairs and
exhibitions, collect and disseminate overseas marketing data including circulation of tenders

Representation and Guidance is another important role of the Capexil. For its designated products,
it is the main forum for addressing concerns in export matters to attract the attention of the policy
makers. It acts as an interface between members and the Government regarding trade and policy
problems, national and international. It might be mentioned here that the membership of Export
Promotion Council is a precondition for registration as exporters.

all five continents. Zenith meets specific requirements of its customers.

Mr. M. F. Vohra, Chairman of the Company, has entered into a technical collaboration with equity
participation in a factory of United Arab Emirates under the name and style of Zenith Rubber
Industries LLC, RAK, UAE in the year 2001. Thus, the company has international presence having
their representation in Middle East.

Mr. Vohra has been elected Chairman of CAPEXIL, which is a Body of Ministry of Commerce,
Government of India. It has more than 4000 members in 16 different product groups with a total
members’ export turn-over of over US$ 16.00 Billion. Capexil has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 under
Mr. Vohra’s Chairmanship, the first Council in the Country to receive such certification. The export
growth of Capexil products is more than 21%. CAPEXIL was awarded the Golden Trophy as the best
run Council by the Govt. of India during his tenure.

Mr. Vohra is also the past President and present 4th Export Panel Convener of the All
India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA), the largest representative body of the Rubber
Industries in India with nearly 1500 members.
Under Mr. Vohra’s Chairmanship, he has led over 25 delegations sponsored by CAPEXIL, AIRIA and
the International Trade Center, Geneva to various countries across the globe. During these delegation
visits, they have participated in many exhibitions and organized Buyer-Seller meets for promotion of
International Trade.

Vajra Rubber Products Ltd (VRPL) established in 1991 is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company
specialized in custom moulded rubber product, custom moulded rubber to metal products,
Engineering Plastics, Polyurethanes, Bakelite and moulded carbon phenolic are our other
product lines.

We have hydraulic presses ranging from size 12” x 12” to 150” x 150” (this big Hydraulic press
is one of the largest in Asia) with expertise in making very large rubber components for our
space, marine, mining, heavy industrial, automotive, flow control, and crude oil drilling
industry. We have an integrated manufacturing with the following in-house facility (a) CNC
tool room to make tool, moulds and fixtures, (b) Testing lab to develop and check all the parts

of Kerala is blessed with its natural resources and beauty. India is the 4th largest producer of

We have a total work force of 240 including our management and engineering team who are

warehouse of 40 thousand sq ft in Corsicana, TX. Our American Joint venture partner is “Core
International” in Houston.

however big or small they are. FDA, NSF 61, W 270 drinking water complained rubber

FILCOMPS is capable of processing about 25 tons of material every month i.e. about producing
more than 4.00 – 4.50 Million pieces. We are utilizing only 60% of capacity and spare capacity

Available for both Precure and Mold Cure Process of Tire Retreading. Can be used for filling of
casing injuries and repairs.
 Mold Cure Tread Rubber: Available in Slab and Camel Back sizes and in different
compounds for Retreading OTR, Truck Tires, etc. High shelf life and Tread wear resistance a
hall mark of the compounds.
 Orbi Tread: Available in spedific sizes and compounds for Retreading of Truck and Car Tires.
 Black Vulcanizing Solution: Having standard viscosity and manufactured using high
quality solvents suitable for curing temperatures of 150˚C, 125˚C and 100˚C. Can be used for
both Precure and Mold Cure process of Tire Retreading. Available in 25 Litre and 200 Litre
packing.
 Rope Rubber: Extrudable, soft and fast curing Rubber Compound for use in casing repair
operations with Extruder Gum.
 Tyre Flaps: Tire Flaps and available for 11.00x20, 10.00x20 and 9.00x20 size Tire sizes. Flabs
for use in retreading applications as well as for use in Tires are available.
 Rubber Compound: Custom made Master batches (NR/Synthetic Rubber/ Speciality
Rubbers/Carbon Black) or Final Mix and packaged in export worthy manner can be supplied.
