AeroWhipTM Whip-Optimized Solutions

AeroWhipTM whip-optimized solutions are nonionic water-soluble cellulosics chemically identified
as hydroxypropylcellulose. They offer unique performance for whipped cream and whipped topping manu-
facturers due to their film forming and surface active properties. Below are specifications for the physical

Characteristics: Whipping aid, film former and surface active agent.

Solubility: Soluble in water below 38°C; insoluble in water above 45°C; soluble in most polar organic
solvents; solutions clear and smooth.
Compatibility: Compatible with most natural gums and other water-soluble polymers such as cellulose
gum, methylcellulose, gelatin, and sodium caseinate.

FDA Status
This product conforms to the definition and specifications for hydroxypropylcellulose set forth in Title
21, Section 172.870 of the Code of Federal Regulations. This regulation permits its use in food products,
except those standardized foods that do not provide for such use. It is also listed in the Food Chemicals
Codex and by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation’s World Health Organization
(FAO/WHO).

Labeling
The proper labeling for AeroWhip 600, 620 and 640 is E463 in Europe and hydroxypropylcellulose in
all other approved countries.
