On the other hand, Empiricism is another epistemological belief founded with the notion of

sense-data or sense-experiences as our primary source of knowledge. Empiricists believe that every
knowledge that we have come from our perception first. David Hume, a philosopher from Edinburgh,
believes in the notion of our senses as the main source of knowledge. For Hume, all of our knowledge
came from the relation of our ideas, which we gather from our impressions. These impressions are what
we experience when we perceive things through our senses.

Personally, I’m more of an empiricist myself. I’ve always been asking for evidences that I can
perceive through my senses if people present their claims on me. But I can’t deny that the rationalist view
on epistemology makes sense. And oftentimes, I use it. I refer to my intellectual capacity when I’m trying
to resolve things, or trying to make a point. Our senses may be our primary way of knowing what things
are, but I think we also need our intellect to process things out.
