Why does some good student/s not get placed well?
We have seen people who are generally smart, not dick-heads, have a decent campus reputation and
have a loaded resume, but don't seem to get placed as good / early as most of their peers
How does it feel?
The Student get frustrated seeing all of his friends getting placed, and when he also told that you are in
wait list, then whenever the student receive phone calls from any one or from his mom & dad, checking
placement blog.etc. The student worry about it, The student cry, … the student get upset… leads life
miserable.

It is true that placement process has a huge lack factor. Likability is also a big factor.
Companies often don't care about hiring the best. They are usually satisfied with the general student
quality and knowledge on subject in the campus. They want to hire people that are it. They do not want
to put in extra efforts to hire people and teach them. Sometimes a student is unable to market his / her
skills in interviews well. While they are talented and deserve a lot more but they usually lack in
presentation skills and knowledge skills. They may be nervous because they might not know other than
subject or they might be lack of interview experience or now a day’s student got studied only on books.
They might try even trying to act over smart. Finally that may not be their day.
Real Example: interviewer interviews a BE CS 4th year student
When interviewer asks a simple question towards a BE IT / CS 4th year student, why computer needs a
RAM or Processor…. 100% sure the student does not have answer on it. Then a good interviewer will
never follow gut feeling, but this isn't an ideal world. In a good interview scheme an interviewer will only
give feedback to the hiring committee and then they will make decision for every candidate. Rather now
a days students does not know how to handle a computer or how to repair a computer... for any thing
they will call service engineer... real situation... even a engg passed student does not know how to
replace a electric current fuse...., All the grand fathers now a days saying what a student have studied is
only on books ...no practical knowledge...

The one day seminar cum workshop, and same can be conducted in your college, is divided into three
segments…..

1. A seminar / presentation on “The latest Technology on hardware” - this segment will take through the
journey on the transition phases of the latest technology in computer- processors, mother boards, RAM,
Hard disk, monitors, Optical Disc drives, hard disc drives etc… this will surely tell the students where we
are in the world of Latest in technology.
2. A thorough video presentation on “Assembling PC”- this segment will allow taking detailed notes on the
components, wiring, fixing and assembling of a computer system.
3. A “Hands on training” will be held to the students in batches, where the students will be putting the
theory and practices together. Two to three Pc’s would be displayed to the students with their
components dismantled and under the supervision of our senior support manager the students would be
assembling the systems with the help of the notes as well as with guidance with our support engineer.
Later on the session would be opened for the students to throw out their questions.

The workshop would consist of 100 -150 students for the entire session.

The students would be charged of Rs 200/- each.

The dates could be fixed on the convenience of the institution after the students register themselves with the
head of the department who is in charge.
