THE GO-TO RESTAURANTS IN PAULDING COUNTY

Have you grown tired of the same old restaurants that you routinely visit? Tired of the long wait
times and lack luster food? Then today is your lucky day, I am going to be listing my ‘Go-To
Restaurants in Paulding County.’ Now these are purely my favorites, but hopefully you will try
these restaurants out and see for yourselves what I enjoy so much about them.

1. Pizza Shack- Dallas, Ga.

If you are looking for delicious wings, then Pizza Shack is where you need to go. I
automatically enjoy this place because it means I get to avoid Hiram traffic on a Friday
night. Located in the shopping complex in Seven hills, Pizza Shack is the go-to place for a
family environment and scrumptious food. The menu is delicious, and I mean that
literally, everything is good. Their top dishes would have to be wings, pizza and the
wraps and sandwiches. You can order your wings however you want and dipped in their
featured sauces. Now, personally, my signature wings are cooked extra crispy with the
sauce on the side. I prefer this way versus having a super slippery wing that can almost
taste rubbery at times. For their pizza, it comes in the traditional sizes, but it is super
delicious. I am one of those people who loves chicken on her pizza, so I gravitate
towards the buffalo chicken pizza while my family likes to get a regular cheese pizza. I
enjoy coming here because the atmosphere is fun with sports memorabilia from local
schools hanging on the walls and the T.V.’s tuned into the sport network channels. My
favorite experience at Pizza Shack is when there is live music being played and sitting on
the patio with family and friends. Pizza Shack is a fun restaurant to visit and I highly
recommend giving this place a try.

2. Totopos- Dallas, Ga.

Mexican is always the go-to if you can’t decide what to eat, and if you haven’t tried
Totopos yet then you are definingly missing out. For me this is probably the easiest
restaurant to eat at simply because it is right up the street from me. Totopos is located
in the Publix shopping complex in New Hope across from Waffle House. The atmosphere
is always enjoyable in Totopos with indoor and outdoor eating spaces, and sometimes
there is live music being performed as well. This restaurant is perfect for any occasion
whether eating dinner with your family after a night at the ballpark or for Margarita
Mondays/ Taco Tuesdays with the girls. The food is absolutely delicious from the fajitas
to the tacos even down to the queso dip with hamburger meat. Don’t knock it till you
try it, folks. I personally just get three soft shell tacos with chicken, cheese, and sour
cream. It may sound super odd or like a kid’s meal, but I’m only able to eat two after
gorging on chips and salsa. Which reminds me if you are super into salsa like me then
you will enjoy Totopos’ salsa,’ it has the right amount of heat but is also not
overwhelmingly chunky as well. If you have grown tired of your favorite Mexican
restaurant, Totopos will easily become your favorite.

3. Dave’s Chicago Spot- Dallas, Ga.

I enjoy eating at unique restaurants that everyone may not know about and I feel like
Dave’s Chicago Spot is that hidden little gem in Dallas. If you are looking for a taste of
Chicago without having to spend a fortune, then this is the place to visit. Dave’s Chicago
Spot is located in the Ingles shopping complex in the old part of Dallas where they
specialize in their Chicago style hot dogs and Philly Cheesesteaks. They have the
traditional Philly Cheesesteaks and also a Spicy Chicken Cheesesteak. Yes, you read that
right and it is absolutely delicious. For me this is great since I only eat chicken or
seafood, so having a dish catered to what I eat but have the same elements is great. You
can go inside or order through the drive-thru, but I suggest going inside because it’s a
different experience than sitting in your car and normally there are plenty of tables
available. I like coming here because you get good quality food for a good price and that
can be hard to find sometimes. Plus, if you want to stay home, they are also on
DoorDash, there is no excuse not to try them out.

4. House of Lu- Dallas, GA.

Anyone who knows my mom or I, know that we enjoy good Asian cuisine with our go-to
place being House of Lu in Dallas. House of Lu is located on Marietta Highway near the
Walmart and is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Paulding County. We enjoy eating
here simply because the food is always delicious, and the service is great as well. I’ve
never had a bad experience at House of Lu and suggest ordering your food to-go. For
some reason, I rarely ever eat inside Chinese restaurants, but I think getting House of Lu
to-go is best because it’s simple and doesn’t require me to leave my house when it gets
colder. Nothing is better than having a piping hot meal in the winter months and House
of Lu is definitely a contender. My normal order would have to be General Tso’s Chicken
with white or fried rice depending on my mood; I enjoy meals that have some heat or
spice to them, so this meal is perfect for anyone who enjoys spicy foods. My mom
typically orders the Mongolian Beef with Hot &Sour soup while my brother, who is not a
huge fan of Asian food, usually gets the Chicken Fried Rice which is delicious as well.
House of Lu has everything that everyone can enjoy and will easily become one of your
personal favorites.
