Online veterinary anatomy museum to


share resources worldwide
A NEW online resource aimed at students
of animal anatomy all over the world was
launched at the Royal Veterinary College
(RVC) on November 20.
The Online Veterinary Anatomy
Museum (OVAM) represents the
culmination of a year-long project led by
the RVC involving all seven of the UK’s
veterinary schools as well as international
institutions, educational trusts, commercial
publishers and web developers. The
RVC says that the museum will be one
of the world’s largest online veterinary
anatomical resource collections and will
support the studies of veterinary students. It
also aims to inspire students worldwide to
engage with animal anatomy and science
‘in an inspiring, interactive and informative
way’.
The OVAM will offer free access
to resources such as interactive and
