Gandhiji an ideal for every Indian

Good Morning teachers and my dear friends.

I am Chirantan Satapathy from Standard-II.

There have been many leaders who have led differently this world.

Some worked for social reforms, while many worked for social awareness.
Several of them worked for the upliftment of society.

They all have impressed society in their own way.

But Mahatma Gandhi is the most.

Today, I feel proud as I am going to talk a little about Mahatma Gandhi.

Gandhiji was born on 2nd of October in 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat, India.

He was just 18 years old while studying law in the England.

Later he went to British colony of South Africa to practice his law where got
differentiated from the light skin people because of being a dark skin
person.

That’s why he decided to became a political activist in order to do so some

positive changes in such unfair laws.

Later he returned to India and started a powerful and non-violent

movement to make India an independent country.

Mahatma Gandhi worked hard to eradicate the social evils from Indian
society.

He advocated Hindu-Muslim unity and condemned the untouchability,

casteism, communalism, etc.

He promoted women education and criticised child marriage, purdah

system, etc.

He proved that everything is possible with the non-violence and unity of

people.
Under his leadership India got independence on 15 August 1947.

He died in 1948 on 30th of January ,but he is still alive in the heart of every
Indian as a “Father of the Nation and Bapu”.

To remember him, 30th of January is celebrated every year as the Martyr

Day in India.

Mahatma Gandhi was a great and outstanding personality of the India who
is still inspiring the people in the country as well as abroad through his
greatness, idealness and noble life and so he is an ideal for all the Indians.

Thank You.
