Areas of Strength Plan for extension experiences

 Building/ stacking using Lego and wooden blocks  STEM activities that require Tyler to problem solve and use
 Gross Motor skills (running, jumping, hopping, skipping) different materials. For example, building a dog kennel out of
 Social skills with both peers and adults. Enjoys engaging in pop sticks and foam blocks (links to monthly theme: Vet)
dramatic play as well as building with fellow peers. Always  Hopscotch will extend Tyler’s understanding of one-on-one
raises his hand to speak on the mat correspondence. I would like to introduce images and dots to
 recognises numbers 1-10 represent the numbers. This will promote further gross motor
 Recognition of letters development.
 To extend Tyler in his development of letter recognising I
would like to create a car tracing book (following interest)
that allows him to trace over the letters using a small car
(pre-writing activity)

 Speech assessment to identify which sounds Tyler is
 Speech (difficult for others to understand) confident with and sounds Tyler is unable to make
 Follow one instruction at a time  Story sequencing activities -Read a story and get Tyler to
 Fine motor skills (unable to form a fist) sequence the events in order using Velcro and recording
boards
 Using stress balls, and playdough to manipulate as well as
incorporating the song open, shut them to our mat lesson
