Current Interests:
Building blocks, car, light up gum boots, police, dinosaurs, puzzle, bubbles.
 STEM activities that require Tyler to problem solve and use
different materials. For example, building a dog kennel out of
pop sticks and foam blocks (links to monthly theme: Vet)
 Hopscotch will extend Tyler’s understanding of one-on-one
correspondence. I would like to introduce images and dots to
represent the numbers. This will promote further gross motor
development.
 To extend Tyler in his development of letter recognising I
would like to create a car tracing book (following interest)
that allows him to trace over the letters using a small car
(pre-writing activity)
Plan for scaffolding Experiences
 Speech assessment to identify which sounds Tyler is
confident with and sounds Tyler is unable to make
 Story sequencing activities -Read a story and get Tyler to
sequence the events in order using Velcro and recording
boards
 Using stress balls, and playdough to manipulate as well as
incorporating the song open, shut them to our mat lesson
