Mohammadans and their supporters routinely make the claim that while the
western nations were dragging their feet through mud and grime and their
people were not bathing for weeks or months on end, the Moslem world was full
of advanced science, technology, and a center of religious tolerance. Nothing
could be further from the truth.

Now, it is true that, due to the "Dark ages", there were many horrible problems
involving the Europeans, including lack of proper hygiene, corrupt government
leaders such as kings and princes who were outright tyrants against their people,
unrestrained murderous hatred against innocent Jewish and Christian people who
just wanted to live their lives, and other hazards to life and limb, but, the hollow
claims made by Mohammadans (A Mohammadan is a person who claims that
Mohammad is a prophet sent from their false god, allah, and who believes
Mohammad was allah's final prophet) and their allies is more disinformation and
propaganda.

US President Barack Obama, a very Pro-Mohammadan President, to say the least

about his position on Islam and the koran/quran, visited Egypt in 2009, and gave a
speech to the people at Cairo University. Obama made some statements that
need to be examined in the light of real historical study, as opposed to
Pro-Mohammadan propaganda.

I shall post the text of President Obama's speech given at Cairo, as recorded on
the New York Times website, of the New York Times newspaper. The weblink is

As a student of history, I also know civilization's debt to Islam. It was

Islam – at places like Al-Azhar University – that carried the light of
learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe's
Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim
communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic
compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing;
our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed.
Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires;
timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places
of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has
demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious
tolerance and racial equality.1

Alright. I want to take this bracket of quotes made by President Obama apart
point by point, and refute each claim, using real historical information to show
that the Mohammadans did not, in fact, invent, nor were they responsible for the
generation of these scientific and mathematical discoveries, as Obama, the
Mohammadans, and their followers and allies claim happened.

Let us first start with the claim made in his speech that the mathematical system
known as algebra was a Moslem/Mohammadan innovation. First, what is the
definition of the term innovation, or to innovate? From Webster's dictionary, the
definition of the term innovate is to: To bring in as new; to introduce as a novelty;
as, to innovate a word or an act. [imp. & p. p. Innovated ; p. pr. & vb. n.
Innovating .] To change or alter by introducing something new; to remodel; to
revolutionize. To introduce novelties or changes; - sometimes with in or on.

The above are the noun definitions of innovate.

Here is the verb definition: innovate - bring something new to an environment; "A
new word processor was introduced" From the Merriam-Webster online
dictionary: Innovate is to: " to introduce as or as if new In short, to innovate
something is to introduce it as a new thing, something that did not exist and was
previously unknown.

The Mohammadans, their allies, and supporters such as US President Barack

Hussein Obama, are publishing and making a major historical error on their part.
"Algebra" was known to many ancient people long before Moslems existed, long
before the founder of Islam, Mohammad, also called Muhammad, and
Mohammet, was born. Examine the historical data:

"Our numeral system dates back to India during the early post-Roman era. It
came to Europe via the medieval Middle East, which is why these numbers are
called “Arabic” numbers in European languages, yet even Muslims admit that they
imported them from India. Labeling them “Arabic” numerals is this therefore
deeply misleading. Calling them “Hindu-Arabic” number system could be
accepted, but the preferred term should be “Indian numerals.”

It was the Indians, the Hindu Indians, along with the ancient Babylonians (there
was regular contact and trade between the people groups of Southern and
Eastern Europe, Southern Asia, and the Middle East for thousands of years) who
developed what is called algebra. The words used are only associated with it
because of the myth that the Islamic man Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi (ca.
780-850, who took the already-existing mathematical knowledge and did not
invent nor innovate anything new with it.

Furthermore, Omar Khayyam, a Persian scholar who Mohammadans and their

allies will claim was a great "Islamic thinker" was nothing of the sort. He was an
educated poet who loved to drink wine, and he was against fundamental
orthodox "koranic Islam". A good article written by an Arab atheist named Ibn

The side point is that the major educated and intelligent thinkers in the Moslem
world were actually quite against the fundamental teachings of the quaran and
hadiths (recorded traditions of Mohammad) and were ofte times persecuted by
the more orthodox Moslems when this knowledge came out.

Here is more information refuting the claim that Moslems invented and innovated
algebra:

There is evidence of the transmission of pre-Ptolemaic Greek astronomical

knowledge to India, possibly along the Roman trade routes. The earliest known
Indian work containing trigonometry dates from the fifth century AD. The Gupta
period from the fourth to seventh centuries was a golden age for Indian
civilization, with a flourishing of art and literature. Astronomers produced a series
of textbooks (siddhanta or “solutions”) covering the basics of astronomy and
planetary movements using Greek planetary theory. The Aryabhatiya of the
prominent Indian mathematical astronomer Aryabhata (476-550) from 499 was
an important work which summarized Hindu mathematics up to that point in
time, covering arithmetic, algebra, plane trigonometry and spherical
trigonometry. Next to Aryabhata, Brahmagupta (598-ca. 665) was the most
accomplished Indian astronomer and mathematician of this age, making advances
in algorithms for square roots and the solution of quadratic equations.

Rabbi Abraham ben Meir ibn Ezra, or Abenezra (ca. 1090-1167), a Spanish-Jewish
philosopher, poet and Biblical commentator, left Spain before 1140 to escape
persecution of Jews and Christians by the regime of the Muslim Almohads. He
wrote three treatises which helped to bring the Indian symbols to the attention of
some learned people in Europe, but it took more time for Indian numerals to
become fully adopted on this continent.

Much more can be said. Clearly, it was not Muslim innovation that brought the
mathematics known as algebra to the world. This knowledge pre-dated Islam and
Muslims.

The next claim made in the speech at Cairo by Obama was that the Muslims
invented and innovated the magnetic compass. This is completely false. The
principle of the magnetic compass was known in antiquity to many cultures, from
the Chinese to the Norse, Greeks, Romans, and others. The iron-rich stones
known as lodestone were used by these people long before the 7th century when
Islam came into existence.

Other navigational tools such as the Sextant and Astrolabe were not invented by
nor innovated by Muslims.

The next point that Obama claims is that Muslims invented/innovated pens and
writing instruments. This is another false claim. Various forms of pens and
styluses were known as far back as the days of ancient Egypt and Sumeria. Writing
pens were used to carve images and letters into clay tablets known as cuneiform,
which was then hardened for durability, and, quill pens and feather pens made
from various birds and animals were used, in addition to other writing
instruments.

Printing was used by the ancient Chinese and was developed by Johannes
Guttenberg in the time of the European Reformation, using movable blocks which
had the form of various letters engraved onto them.

Obama goes on in his speech to claim that the knowledge of how disease spreads
and how it can be healed was innovated by the Muslims. This is another false,
anti-historical statement.
Medical hygenics and quarantine processes were known to the ancient Jews, the
Hebrews, as outlined in the Torah written by Moses. Some pertinent verses state:

Numbers 19:7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh
in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be
unclean until the even.

Numbers 19:8 And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe
his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.

Numbers 19:9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and
lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the
congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification
for sin.

Numbers 19:10 And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his
clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel,
and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.

Numbers 19:11 He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean
seven days.

Numbers 19:12 He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh
day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh
day he shall not be clean.

Numbers 19:13 Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and
purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be
cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him,
he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
Numbers 19:14 This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the
tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.

Numbers 19:15 And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is
unclean.

Numbers 19:16 And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the
open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven

Numbers 19:17 And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the
burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a
vessel:

Numbers 19:18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and
sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that
were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a
grave:

Numbers 19:19 And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third
day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and
wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.

Numbers 19:20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself,
that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled
the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon
him; he is unclean.

Numbers 19:21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that
sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth
the water of separation shall be unclean until even.
Numbers 19:22 And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean;
and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.

Leviticus 11:35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall
be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for
they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you.

Leviticus 11:36 Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water,

shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.

Leviticus 15:9 And what saddle soever he rideth upon that hath the issue shall be

Leviticus 15:10 And whosoever toucheth any thing that was under him shall be
unclean until the even: and he that beareth any of those things shall wash his

Leviticus 15:11 And whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not
rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water,
and be unclean until the even.

Leviticus 15:12 And the vessel of earth, that he toucheth which hath the issue,
shall be broken: and every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.
Leviticus 15:13 And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he

Leviticus 15:17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of
copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.

Leviticus 15:18 The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation,
they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.

Leviticus 15:19 And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood,
she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean
until the even.

Leviticus 15:20 And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be
unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.

Leviticus 15:21 And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

Leviticus 15:22 And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash
his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

Leviticus 15:23 And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when
he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.

Leviticus 15:28 But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to
herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.

Leviticus 15:29 And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two

the congregation.

Deuteronomy 23:10 If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of
uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp,
he shall not come within the camp:

Deuteronomy 23:11 But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash
himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

Deuteronomy 23:12 Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou
shalt go forth abroad:

This verse in particular shows the Hebrews had an understanding of the fact of
germs causing disease, because the cloth of one with leprosy was to be burned:

Leviticus 13:52 He shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp or woof, in
woollen or in linen, or any thing of skin, wherein the plague is: for it is a fretting
leprosy; it shall be burnt in the fire.

Some ancients thought leprosy was an inherited disease, but the Torah of the
Jews showed that it was a disease that was spread by germs which could be
treated and quarantined:

Numbers 19:20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself,
that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled
the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon
him; he is unclean. I could go on but the salient historical fact is that the spread
and treatments of disease was known before the rise of Islam.

Obama's next claim in his Cairo speech was that the Muslims gave the world
arches and spires. Another falsehood. The Romans developed and utilized the
arch in their stone structures and spires in the form of zigurrats were constructed
throughout the ancient world, across Asia and as far back as ancient Babylon.

Regarding poetry, the Pre-Islamic Arabs were known for their poetry, as were
various Jewish, pagan, and other cultures around the world.

Obama claims the Islamic world brought forth great music. To the contrary, all
forms of music except the Islamic prayer call is banned and forbidden in Islam:

From the Islamic Hadiths of Mohammad:

Hadith: Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 69, Number 494v:

Narrated Abu ‘Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash’ari: that he heard the Prophet
saying, “From among my followers there will be some people who will
consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of
alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there
will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the
evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them
for something, but they will say to him, ‘Return to us tomorrow.’ Allah will
destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and
He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will
remain so till the Day of Resurrection.”

Hadith: Sunan Abu-Dawud: Book 41, Number 4909:

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas’ud:
Salam ibn Miskin, quoting an old man who witnessed AbuWa’il in a
wedding feast, said: They began to play, amuse and sing. He united the
support of his hand round his knees that were drawn up, and said: I heard
 Abdullah (ibn Mas’ud) say: I heard the apostle of Allah
(peace_be_upon_him) say: Singing produces hypocrisy in the heart.

Hadith Qudsi 19:5:

“The Prophet said that Allah commanded him to destroy all the musical
instruments, idols, crosses and all the trappings of ignorance.”
Muhammad also said:
1. “Allah Mighty and Majestic sent me as a guidance and mercy to believers
and commanded me to do away with musical instruments, flutes, strings,
crucifixes, and the affair of the pre-Islamic period of ignorance.”
2. “On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will pour molten lead into the ears of
whoever sits listening to a songstress.”
3. “Song makes hypocrisy grow in the heart as water does herbage.”
4. “This community will experience the swallowing up of some people by the
earth, metamorphosis of some into animals, and being rained upon with
stones.” Someone asked, “When will this be, O Messenger of Allah?” and
he said, “When songstresses and musical instruments appear and wine is
held to be lawful.”
5. “There will be peoples of my Community who will hold fornication, silk,
wine, and musical instruments to be lawful ….” — ‘Umdat al-Salik r40.0

When the Islamic taliban took over in Afganistan, all forms of music were banned.
The Taliban, Isis, and other Islamic fundamentalist groups are simply living out
and following the insidious and violent teachings of the koran and the hadiths of
Mohammad.

According to Mohammad, all forms of music, except for the Islamic prayer call,
performed by the meuzzin, the Moslem who calls out and broadcasts their
command to come and pray at the mosque, are banned, illegal, and, not only
punishable in the here and now by the Islamic authorities in an Islamic sharia law
state, but, the persons who listen to music will have molten lead poured into their
ears in the hereafter.
Next up, Obama in his speech claims the Muslims brought the world calligraphy.

Anyone who looks into the matter can see that the ancient Romans, Chinese, and
other people groups were practiced in the art of calligraphic lettering long before
Islam came onto the world scene in the 7th century AD.
In China it was called shufa, the law of writing, and was being practiced by entire
schools of calligraphic artists in the second and third centuries BC and even
earlier.

"About 220 BC, the emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first to conquer the entire
Chinese basin, imposed several reforms, among them Li Si's character unification,
which created a set of 3300 standardized Xiǎozhuàn characters. Despite the fact
that the main writing implement of the time was already the brush, few papers
survive from this period, and the main examples of this style are on steles."

Finally, President Obama in his speech at Cairo made the claim that the history of
Islam is a history of tolerance and racial equality. Not so. In truth, it was the Arab
Moslems who carved out the African slave trade routes, and who sold Black slaves
to Europeans along with Black African tribes selling their own people and the
captives of other Black African tribes into slavery. In the Sudan the Moslems
enslave Black Christians and there are slave markets throughout the Islamic
world.
Muhammadan Islam/Koranic Islam institutionalized slavery into the modern
world. Mohammad himself had a black slave named Bilal who he humiliated and
never freed. He called Black people "Pug Nosed Raisin Heads" and treated human
beings who he had enslaved like cargo and possessions.

Mahran, one of Muhammad’s black slave, was made him to carry the belongings
of Muhammad and his companions while on a journey through the burning desert
as Muhammad said: "Carry them, for you are a ship." Thereafter, he became
known by that surname, Safina ('ship'). Relating this own story, Mahran said:

The apostle of God and his companions went on a trip. (When) their
belongings became too heavy for them to carry, Muhammad told me,
 'Spread your garment.' They filled it with their belongings, then they put it
on me. The apostle of God told me, 'Carry (it), for you are a ship.' Even if I
was carrying the load of six or seven donkeys while we were on a journey,
anyone who felt weak would throw his clothes or his shield or his sword on
me so I would carry that, a heavy load. The prophet told me, 'You are a
ship"' (refer to Ibn Qayyim, p. 115–116; al-Hulya, Vol. 1, p. 369, quoted
from Ahmad 5:222).
Here is some more information on this:

"Muhammad owned several black slaves. Muslim scholar Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya
relies heavily on the prophet's biographies written by great early Islamic scholars.
He is regarded by Muslims as an authority, a primary source and a leader amongst
Islamic scholars. He tells us in his book, "Zad al-Ma'ad" (part 1, pp. 114-116), the
following:
"These are the names of Muhammad's male slaves: Yakan Abu Sharh, Aflah,
'Ubayd, Dhakwan, Tahman, Mirwan, Hunayn, Sanad, Fadala Yamamin,
Anjasha al-Hadi, Mad'am, Karkara, Abu Rafi', Thawban, Ab Kabsha, Salih,
Rabah, Yara Nubyan, Fadila, Waqid, Mabur, Abu Waqid, Kasam, Abu' Ayb,
Abu Muwayhiba, Zayd Ibn Haritha, and also a black slave called Mahran."

Even today in Saudi Arabia, the heartland of Islam, the common word for "Black"
is "Abd", also meaning "slave"."

" While Christian Reformers spearheaded the anti-slavery abolitionist movements

in Europe and North America, and Great Britain mobilised her Navy, throughout
most of the 19th Century, to intercept slave ships and set the captives free, there
was no opposition whatsoever to slavery within the Muslim world.

Even after Britain outlawed the slave trade in 1807 and Europe abolished the
slave trade in 1815, Muslim slave traders enslaved a further 2 million Africans.
This, despite vigorous British Naval activity and military intervention to limit the
Islamic slave trade.
By some calculations, the number of victims of the 14 centuries of Islamic slave
trade could exceed 180 million.
Nearly 100 years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation
Proclamation in America, and 130 years after all slaves within the British Empire

Mauritania in 1980, begrudgingly removed legalised slavery from their statute
books. And this only after international pressure was brought to bear. Today
numerous international organisations document that slavery still continues in
some Muslim countries.

The Quran states that the Moslem is to kill and fight against all non Muslims until
everyone is either dead or converted to Islam or enslaved under the Islamic Sharia
law.
Quran (4:95) - "Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except
those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame, etc.), and those who strive
hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has
preferred in grades those who strive hard and fight with their wealth and their
lives above those who sit (at home). Unto each, Allah has promised good
(Paradise), but Allah has preferred those who strive hard and fight, above those
who sit (at home) by a huge reward "

Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His
messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be
murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite
sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this
world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore
strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Quran (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder,
unbelief) and religion is all for Allah"
Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the
idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie
in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay
the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

Quran (9:20) - "Those who believe, and have left their homes and striven with
their wealth and their lives in Allah's way are of much greater worth in Allah's
sight. These are they who are triumphant."

Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that
forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor
acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book,
until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."

Bukhari (52:177) - Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you
fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O
Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

Bukhari (52:256) - The Prophet... was asked whether it was permissible to attack
the pagan warriors at night with the probability of exposing their women and
children to danger. The Prophet replied, "They (i.e. women and children) are from
them (i.e. pagans)."

Bukhari (52:220) - Allah's Apostle said... 'I have been made victorious with terror'

Bukhari (8:387) - Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till
they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah'. And if they say so, pray
like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood
and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except
legally."

Muslim (1:30) - "The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight
against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah."
Surah 5:51 51. O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliya'
(friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but Auliya' to one another. And if any
amongst you takes them as Auliya', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah
guides not those people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers and
unjust).
What about Al Ahazar University itself? Its very existence is for one reason and
one reason alone: The propagation and spread of Islam.
The conclusion: When US President Barack Obama made these statements in his
speech in Cairo, he was making unhistorical, untrue claims that are not supported
by historical evidence, which evidence, on the contrary, refutes his claims.
