Description:
The Wohnpark Zippenpark is a retirement home located at lake Schwerin with
extended grounds. It was founded in 1996 and includes three buildings, named
house 1, 2 and 3 by now. More than 200 employees are in charge of caring for the
residents.
The Wohnpark Zippendorf offers different kinds of care, for example part-time and
full-time institutional care, holiday and day care, care for people with dementia,
assisted living etc.
The Wohnpark Zippendorf has defined general principles for dealing with patients.
Employees of the Wohnpark Zippendorf look at people in their entirety and treat them with
dignity and respect. Their theme is: “care as much as needed, self-determination as much
as possible”.
Tasks:

 Domestic economies:
o Preparation of meals and support in food intake
o Assistance in personal hygiene
o Cleaning and laundry
o General assistance

o Supporting the elderly in their daily life
o Assistance in daily errands
o Free time activities

Other:
The volunteer(s) will be integrated in the project and work full time (40 hours per
week). There will be an adequate training on-the-job for the volunteer. A mentor will
be in charge of the volunteer and will be reachable in case of problems and need of
support.
