A  simple  and  beautiful  dress  knitted  from  the  top  down.  

 
 
Yarn I  used  Nako  Boutique  Süper  Saf  Yün,  but  any  DK  weight  will  do
Yardage 450  yards
Tension 24  sts  =  10  cm
Needles 3,5mm

Directions

Yoke
The  yoke  of  the  dress  is  worked  back  and  forth.    
 
co.  60  sts  
 
Row  1-­‐7:  sl1,  k59  
Row  8:  sl1,  k10,  pm,  k8,  pm,  k22,  pm  k8,  pm,  k11  
Row  9:  sl1,  *k  to  one  sts  before  marker,  m1,  k1,  sm,  k1,  m1*  repest  from  *  to  *  3  more  
times,  knit  till  end  of  row  (total  of  68  sts)  
Row  10:  sl1,  k  till  end  of  row  
 
Repeat  row  9  and  10  until  you  have  188  sts  in  total.  (15  more  reapeats,  row  11-­‐40)  
 
Row  41:  sl1,  k26,  bo  40  arm  sts,  k54,  bo  other  40  arm  sts,  k27  
 
 
Under arms  
You  should  now  work  back  and  front  separately  for  a  couple  of  rows.  Start  by  sliding  the  
stitches  for  the  right  half  of  the  front  over  to  the  left  needle.  You  should  now  have  54  sts  
for  front,  and  54  sts  for  back.  
Start  working  the  front:  
 
Row  1:  P  all  sts  
Row  2:  k2,  m1,  k  till  2  sts  remains,  m1,  k2.  
Row  3  and  5:  as  row  1  
Row  4  and  6:  as  row  2  
 
You  should  now  have  60  sts  for  the  front.  Make  the  back  in  the  exactly  same  way.    
 
The skirt:
Your  yarn  should  now  be  under  the  right  arm.  Place  marker  and  join  back  and  front.  This  
marker  is  now  the  beginning  of  your  round.  Work  first  round,  placing  a  marker  under  
the  other  arm  as  well.  Now  you’re  ready  to  work  the  skirt.  
 
Row  1:  k  all  sts  
Row  2:  *k2,  k2tog,  yo*  
Row  3:  k  all  sts  
 
Row  4  (increase  round):  *k1,  m1l,  k  till  1  sts  before  marker,  m1r,  k1*.  Repeat  *  to  *.  
Row  5-­‐10:  k  all  sts.  
 
Repeat  row  4-­‐10  totally  11  times  (or  till  your  pleased  with  the  length  of  the  skirt)  
 
The edging:
Row  1:  p  all  sts  
Row  2:  *  k1,  kfb  *  Repeat  *  to  *  till  end  of  round  
Row  3-­‐10:  k  all  sts  
Row  11:  p  all  sts  
Row  12:  k  all  sts  
Row  13:  p  all  sts  
Row  14:  k  all  sts  
Row  15:  p  all  sts  
Row  16:  Bind  off  loosly.  
 
 
And  the  last  bit:  make  and  i-­‐cord  (or  use  a  silkband)  to  thread  in  the  holes  around  the  
waist.  Sew  in  all  lose  ends,  wash  and  you’re  done!
