The parable of the sower and the seed describes Jesus Christ as the sower spreading the word of God. The seed represents God's message, which falls on different types of soil - some on a path and does not grow, some on rocky ground and does not take root, some among thorns that choke it, and some on good soil that bears fruit. The moral lesson is that people receive God's word in different ways, with some not accepting it at all, some with only superficial faith, and others allowing worldly concerns to prevent them from embracing the message fully, while some take it into their hearts.

3. DIFFERENT KINDS OF SOIL WHERE THE SEED FELL OR PLANTED.
There are different kinds of soil where the seed fell or planted. There were seeds who fell among the path. There were also seeds who fell on rock. Other seeds fell among thorn bushes. And, other seed fell on good soil.
4. WHAT KIND OF SOIL ARE YOU? AND WHY?
I am the soil where the seed fell among the thorn bushes because I hear the Word of God, but do nothing with it. I know the word, but I do not fully embrace and accept it. Furthermore, life worries me. I am packed down hard by the journey of life. Hence, I sometimes think that my source of happiness comes from worldly desires – riches, pleasures, and prosperity. And along the way somehow forego God’s message.
5. WJAT IS THE MORAL LESSON OF THE PARABLE?
The moral lesson of the parable is that it shows how the seed, the Words of God is being received by people. Each person has his/her way of dealing and understanding God’s message. How each reflects upon it. Some just do the “in one ear, out the other”. Others would only have superficial faith and belief in God, once they are tested, they collapsed. There are also ones who does not whole heartedly seeks the Word of God, they are choked by the life’s trivial. Fortunately, there are people who has a firm belief on God’s words and continuous to share it to the world, especially those who badly need it.
