Ans. Processor is the brain of the computer. It has different pats.
a) Control Unit (CU): The control unit is a part of CPU. It directs
operation of processor. It tells the computer’s memory, arithmetic /
logic unit and input output devices how to respond.
b) Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU): It perform all kinds of arithmetic
functions (2+2=4) , and also logical functions like, AND, OR and NOT
etc. It has high speed digital circuit to perform operations.
2. What is the use of Expansion Card? Explain Different
Types of Expansion Cards in Detail.
Ans. Expansion cards are long narrow sockets on mother board. Different
expansion cards are plugged in expansion slots. Some expansion cards are
as under.
a) Video Card: It is also called graphics card. It send digital signals
to video output device.
b) Sound Card: it plays voice. Such as music file.
c) Modem Card: it allows computer to communicate on internet.
d) Network Interface Card: It is device through which computer
are connected in local area network (LAN).

Ans. Robots are automatic machines. They perform different tasks as per
directions. They have following types.
