SENOLITH WB BLISTER COATING

1) Characteristics
SENOLITH WB BLISTER COATING is a glossy, transparent, water-based polymer
dispersion coating with excellent blister properties.

Field of application: Coating of blister cards in-line with offset printing presses.
Not suited for coating machines.

Application equipment: Suited for all common coating facilities of offset and flexo
presses. For necessary adjustments of the viscosity please
contact our technical service.

Special features: Excellent blister properties

Blister foils: PVC-foil

PET-G-foil
PET-A-foil - only after previous testing

Gloss: glossy

Supply viscosity: according to coating application equipment

(for product specifics see safety data sheet)

Solids content: 38 - 43 % according to supply viscosity

Density: 1 ± 0,05 g/cm³

pH-value: approx. 8,0

Blocking resistance: + 55°C/24 h/10 Ncm² FOGRA blocking test

Rub resistance: + PRÜFBAU Quartant

Blister temperature: from approx. 160°C dependant on foil and cardboard

3) Application
Viscosity: Supply viscosity = processing viscosity. If necessary it is
possible to thin with water up to a maximum of 2 %.

Drying: Hot air blast, infra-red radiation. Powder application when

required.
Cleaning: With water or SENOLITH CLEANING AGENT 20-2507

Printing inks: We recommend to use solvent and alkali resistant printing inks
in accordance with DIN 16524/25 in order to avoid colour
changes.
So-called “fresh” printing inks (overnight) and highly
rub-resistant printing inks are not suited for blistering.
For safe sealing of cardboard and foil temperature, pressure and dwell time are decisive.

NOTE: Stir coating thoroughly before use!
