    Closing the Divide

    I believe that in order to close the divide we must focus on individual basic needs

    before achieving global digital diversity such as an abundant amount of food supply and

    quality health care. Making sure that individuals have the necessities in order to survive

    will allow for more of an influence on the society’s population and can result in more of

    a demand for technology. Mental health is very important and in order to use

    technology such as computers, a certain level of information literacy is needed.

    In most countries, they aren’t fortunate enough to have various well-paying jobs

    in order to support the circulation of proper funding for technology. The cost for

    devices, transportation, technicians, and education requires on going financial means.

    Therefore, if people are not receiving the proper nourishment there will be no interest

    in technology.
