a. Number of children: 7
b. List of equipment/material and furniture: 6 – single student desks, 4 – rectangular

tables, 18 – student chairs, 18– laminated 100’s chart and Every Day Math workbooks (every student has

their own.), 18 - rulers 1 – metal shelf, 1 – wooden shelf, and 8- small metal buckets, 7 – #2 pencils, 50 –

assorted color pencils, 10 – pencil cases filled with crayons, 10 – scissors, and 18 – assorted color plastic

bins.
c. Types of learning experiences possible: Math Concepts; adding/subtracting within 20,

word problems, time to the half hour, and basic 3-D shapes. Fine motor skills; writing, spelling, and using

capital letters. Reading skills; comprehension and following directions.

a. Number of children: 6
b. List of equipment/material and furniture: 1- area rug, 5 – standard bed pillows w/

pillow cases, 1 – long thin pillow, 3- Metal shelves, 18 – small plastic baskets, 253 - books, 18 – big books,

1- large metal basket, 1 – small metal basket w/ magnets, 30 – plastic magazine holders each filled with

books, 1- small clear bin, 1 – large clear bin, 1 – globe, and 1- small meal bucket.
c. Types of learning experiences possible: Literacy skills such as fluency,

comprehension, and vocabulary. Social skills; verbal communication development, self-regulation, taking

turns, and following directions.

Outdoors:
1. Available equipment: 6 - hula hoops, 16 - single person jump ropes, 2 - double-dutch jump

ropes, 2 - basket balls, 1 - soccer ball, 2- four-square balls, and 1-football.


2. Fixed equipment: Jungle Gym featuring: suspended bridge, spiral slide, fire pole, balance

beam, climber, two sets of monkey bars, and three pull up bars (small, medium, & large). 1- shade

structure, 2- painted hopscotch, 2- painted four-square games.

Evaluation: There was a warm and welcoming atmosphere to be felt immediately upon entering the

classroom. There was lots of wall decorations with bright colors and all the children were smiling and

engaging with each other. Ms. Eden has the students’ desks arranged in three groups of six, this

coincides with DAP(pg239) “Teachers arrange tables or flexible groupings of desks to enable children to

work alone or in small groups.”
