JESUS! FRIEND OF CHILDREN

PRAISE THE LORD! ……. HALLELUYAH

Shall we bow our heads for a short word of prayer?

Heavenly Father, we thank you for bringing us here today. Speak through me to
your children in Jesus Name I pray Amen!

THEME: I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH, CHILDREN ARE A PART

TEXT: MATTHEW 16:18

TITUS 2:13-14

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the
gates of Hades will not overcome it.
According to the Cambridge dictionary, build means to make a structure or
something else by putting materials together in a particular way:
Nothing can be more wrong than to suppose that Christ meant the person of Peter
was the rock. Without doubt Christ himself is the Rock, the tried foundation of the
church; and woe to him that attempts to lay any other.

In Matthew 7:24-27 Jesus told a parable of the wise builder and I read

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into
practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down,
the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall,
because it had its foundation on the rock.26 But everyone who hears these words of
mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house
on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat
against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
The rock is Jesus; Jesus is the word of God, so anyone who hears the word of God
and obeys it, is building on Christ. Anyone who builds on Christ will not be
destroyed. Never!! Not even the gates of hell. Praise the lord!!
"Hell" means the place of departed spirits, particularly evil spirits; and the meaning
of the passage is that all the plots, stratagems, and machinations of the enemies of
the church would not be able to overcome it, a promise that has been remarkably
fulfilled.

These days we hear of false prophets doing all kinds of strange things in the name
of God, wicked people destroying church buildings by bombing them and
sometimes children who are kidnapped from churches while service is going on.

Most children are lost and have gone wayward. They have been trapped in all
kinds of addictions that are abominable.

Surely, the rains shall come down, the streams shall rise, and the winds will
definitely blow and beat against the house, but as children, we must have faith in
God that he will keep and protect us until he comes again. Nothing will
destroy us once we remain in Christ, the solid rock

Please turn your bibles to Titus 2: 13-14 and I read

while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God
and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all
wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do
what is good.

It can be seen clearly that as we wait for the appearing of the glory of our great
God and Savior, Jesus Christ, his goal is to purify for himself a people that are
his very own, eager to do what is good.

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder
them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
Just as the boy Samuel was raised in the Temple to become a great priest who was
anointed by God to bless the Israelites, so is God still in the Business of raising
children who will do exploits in their generation. They will lead many to Christ
due to exemplary lives, praise the Lord.

To my dear mothers and fathers gathered here, let us involve our children in all
activities in Church. Let us surrender our children to God and the truth of his word.
Do not leave us behind and continue to raise us in the fear of the Lord.

Christ loves little children because he loves simplicity and innocence; he has
sanctified their very age by passing through it himself - the holy Jesus was once a
little child.

In bringing my message to an end, God is doing a great thing in this world by

building his church. No demon, occult, civilization or technology can stop our
Lord in His works

If we continue to teach our children to study God’s word, pray, go to church

regularly to listen to the teachings of God’s word and obey him he will redeem
us from all wickedness and we will not be destroyed, hallelujah!!!

JESUS CHRIST IS BUILDING HIS CHURCH AND CHILDREN ARE A

PART, PRAISE THE LORD.

SHALL WE BOW OUR HEADS FOR A WORD OF PRAYER

Dear lord, please teach us to obey your word in Jesus name.
