CHINA MILK PRODUCTS GROUP LIMITED

(Incorporated in the Cayman Islands with registration number CT-155106)

EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE FULL YEAR

UNAUDITED FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH
2010 (“FY2010”) AND THE HOLDING OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
FOR FY2010

China Milk Products Group Limited (the “Company”) refers to the announcement
released by the Company on 2 August 2010 in relation to, among others, the above
matters.

Reasons for the Company’s Application for Extension of Time

The Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (“SGX-ST”) had previously

granted an extension of time to the Company to release its full year unaudited
financial results for FY2010 (“FY2010 Full Year Financial Results”) by 31 July
2010.

Owing to the requirement imposed on the Company to carry out the annual audit for
the FY2010 Full Year Financial Results in tandem with the special audit by KPMG,
the Company’s resources are stretched. As of the date hereof, the special audit by
KPMG is still ongoing, having taken longer than expected, and the Company has not
been able to complete its year-end closing of its accounts on a timely basis for the
purposes of preparing the FY2010 Full Year Financial Results. Accordingly, the
Company is unable to meet the extended deadline of 31 July 2010. As previously
announced, an application was made to the SGX-ST for an extension of time for the
release of FY2010 Full Year Financial Results and for the holding of the annual
general meeting for FY2010 (“AGM 2010”).

Grant of Extension of Time

The Company wishes to inform its Shareholders that pursuant to the aforesaid
application, the SGX-ST has on 11 August 2010 granted an extension of time for the
announcement of the full year unaudited financial results for FY2010 (“FY2010
Results Announcement”) and the holding of the annual general meeting for FY2010
(“AGM 2010”) as follows:

(a) FY2010 Results Announcement

The SGX-ST has granted a further extension of time for the Company to release the
FY2010 Results Announcement by 31 October 2010, subject to the following
conditions:

(i) the Company announcing the period of extension granted, the reasons for
seeking the extension of time and the conditions, as required under Listing
Rule 107;

1
(ii) submission of a written undertaking by the Audit Committee of the Company
that it will exercise its best efforts to aid in the completion of the annual audit by
Grant Thornton and special audit by KPMG; and

(iii) submission of a written undertaking by the Board of Directors of the Company

that they will make monthly announcements to update the public on the
progress of the annual audit by Grant Thornton and special audit by KPMG.

(b) AGM 2010

In response to the Company’s application for extension of time, the SGX-ST has also
granted an extension of time for the Company to hold the AGM 2010 no later than
the date falling two (2) months from the date of the FY2010 Results Announcement,
subject to the following conditions:

(i) the Company announcing the period of extension granted; and

(ii) the reasons for seeking the extension of time and the conditions, as required
under Listing Rule 107.

It is also noted that the Company is required to issue its annual report for FY2010 to
its Shareholders at least 14 days prior to the date of the AGM 2010.

The Board of Directors together with the Audit Committee of the Company will
provide the necessary undertakings in connection with the grant of extension of time
as set out above in due course, except for the undertaking under Section (a)(ii) of
this announcement.

Meanwhile, Shareholders and potential investors are strongly advised to

exercise caution when dealing with the shares of the Company, particularly, in
view of the default by the Company in meeting its payment obligations under
the Convertible Bonds on time. When in doubt, Shareholders and potential
investors are advised to seek independent advice from their bankers,
stockbrokers, solicitors or other professional advisers.
