Summary

This entire course is related to trade marketing and trade marketing management so basically
trade marketing is an intermediatary between producst manufacturures and retailers persons
responsible for delivering product to customers. Trade marketing involves making awareness,
persuading and selling the manifururs product to retailers using various techniques mentioned
further so the same could sell in further to the general customers and users. trade marketing is in
sense a B2B model type of business.

Trade marketing is very importance in current global times where the needs of people have
increased so is the increment in supplier of those needs (manufacturers) as with so many
suppliers the competition has also increased between the and retlailers with scarce space in their
selves and website have to chose limited among them thus the preasure to be in the market is
quite high on the manufactures and trade marketing managers who are responsible for their
presentation and selection to the said retailers.

There are various statges and steps which are taken by trade marketing managers to showcase
and select their products starting from the point first they are manufactured and ready to be
delivered in market for sell is perfect PRODUCT POSITIONOING PREP: in which marketing
starts from the research analysis of the product and market to find out the GAP between our
product and that of our compitetior in respect to customer needs and wants once we have known
that GAP we can properly manufactur our product accordingly afterwards comes the presentation
part of the product where we define the features of the products and what benefits does it provide
like to custiomeres and what sort of unique quality does our product have that X factor which
sepretae it from our compitiors products and makes it better. Then comes the selling or true
marketing part where we present the info of the product to make it more of brand like and
highlightuing its value and benefits.

Afterwards using various media tools and techiniques like TV ADS, mail, banners , blogs, social
media marketing , print media marketing and personal selling, we use such tools of media to
show case and market for sell our product retailers and interested buying parties.

Apart from traditional marketing tools defferent methods are also used to market product such
type of methods are most common in B2B type of business model like trade shows and expos
where different manufacturer and retailers come to show and buy the different variety of
products.

Manufactures also use personal product presentation where they directly showcase product to
retailers and also of brochers and trade catolgues.

Another job description of trade markeing manager apart from selling of product to retailer they
often work with retailers to increase the sell of their respective products like giving the
appropriate information of the product or managing a customer care to guide the customers
quires and managing customers through online portal.

It is also responsibility of trade marketing managers in conjuction with retailers to increase the
sales using various methods like field marketing and mystery shopper where some of the
employes are fielded at retailers to attract, aware and persue customers and also to be check and
balance on the retailers and their employees by making sure the products are placed at the right
place and at the right selves and the retailers and employers are aware of the products history ,
usage, feature and their benefits. so no error could happen in house training of employees and
training of staff engagement also is conducted so performance could be improvred of the staff.
To increase sales of product muiltiple customer initative are taken like sales incentives like
discount and free offers or like free product sample or demo usage to promote the sales of the
product.
