2. Segments have been identified in line with the Accounting Standard on Segment Reporting (AS-17), taking into account the organization structure
as well as differential risks and returns of these segments.
3. Grooming segment includes blades, razors and toiletries, Portable Power segment includes batteries, Oral Care segment includes tooth
brushes/oral care products.
4. Tax Expense comprises of the current tax and deferred tax (previous year/ quarter inclusive of fringe benefit tax).
5. Segment capital employed as on March 31, 2010 does not include unallocated corporate net assets of Rs.36,607 lakhs (as at March 31, 2009 –
Rs.30,552 lakhs and previous accounting year – Rs. 33,343 lakhs) deployed as cash and bank balances and miscellaneous receivables.
6. Information on investor complaints for the quarter –(Nos) Opening: 0; New 14; Disposed 14; Closing Balance 0.
7. Previous period’s/year’s figures have been regrouped/rearranged wherever considered necessary.
