He was born on 8 January 1983 to opera singer Ko Young-Hee and North Korea dictator,
Kim Jong-il.
Kim Jong-un has older brother, Kim Jong Chul(1981) and younger sister, Kim Yo-jong
(1987).
Kim Jong-un is married to Ri Sol-ju and they reportedly had a daughter, Kim Ju-ae, in
2012.

Kim Jong-un attended the private English-language International School in Switzerland
under the name "Chol-pak" from 1993 to 1998. Later, it was reported that Kim Jong-un
attended the Liebefeld Steinhölzli state school in Köniz near Bern under the name “Un-
Pak” from 1998, then in the final 9th year he was leaving the school abruptly in the autumn
of 2000. his grades and attendance rating are reported to have been poor.[
