One-page essay expressing your perspective about DEATH and LIFE.

Are we living to have life, or living just to live? Life is more than eating scrumptious foods, dress
the way we want to express ourselves, building relationships and the day to day routine we do each and
every single day of our life. Yes, it is a gift from God that we should enjoy our life and live it to the fullest
without neglecting the main reason for our existence. A famous preacher once said, “Life without a
purpose is not life at all.” For me, life is enjoying the things we have while not focusing on the things we
don’t have, being able to be content and satisfied. Knowing our purpose in life is the greatest challenge
for all of us. Life is doing the things you want also things you do not want to do. Knowing what your worth
and not settling for less. Loving people as much as we can. Families, relatives, friends, classmates,
officemates, and even strangers and even those who are not lovable enough, they also deserve to be
loved. This world may offer us various things and temporary satisfactions, but know that those stuffs
wouldn’t complete us. Those stuffs wouldn’t fulfill the kind of life each of us longs for.

Death, true enough is an inevitable phenomenon of one’s life. I believe we can never see it coming
but we can feel it. Death frightens most of us, or should I say all of us. Death on the one side means we
will never see our loved ones again, we will miss their hugs, kiss and laughs, even when they are annoyed.
It will always leave a sad space in our hearts knowing that we’ve lost life. But on the other hand, death
will be also a fulfilled promise. Knowing that we will never experience sufferings and struggles again, no
more heart breaks and painful cries. We will come home to our real home which is in heaven together
with our brothers and sisters in Christ and with our dear Heavenly Father. Death can be painful especially
to those who are left, but that’s the time when we genuinely realize that life indeed is really short and we
have to accept these natural occurrences in our life.

Life and death always comes in pair. If we’re taking an analogy exam, we know that if life is given
we will write that the answer is death and vice versa. King Solomon shares to us his wisdom that there is
a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to
die. Life itself is full of surprises, we may predict what may happen for the next five or ten years. But what
is certain right now is that, this is the life we have today so we must live and enjoy it.
